For @Blue !

Judging by the enthusiasm with which she attacked the job given to her, Bazi presumed that Blue would have counted the Hogbelly population within the day. The morning after, blissfully free of nausea for once, Bazi set out to find her newest recruit.

It was raining, but very little of the weather ever reached the forest floor. Bazi shuffled quietly through the needles, listening to the gentle hiss of the mid-March shower with angled ears. The self-appointed huntress had left a faint scent trail here, but Bazi could not tell if it was recent. The air beneath the trees was thick with the smell of decay and pine, and she was having to re-train her nose to filter it all out.
Blue was still roaming Hogbelly Hills, she had counted the males and young ones. However, she counted them quite quickly and did not want Bazi to think she actually didn't do the job.

She decided to head back to rest of the pack, only to see Bazi in the distance. She quickly jumped in a bush, but then decided it would be wrong to hide. She walked out and headed toward Bazi in the distance.

OOC: sorry haha, I didn't know if I should have created a new thread or anything xD
Even though Bazi was actively looking for her new recruit, Blue's appearance startled her. "There you are," she declared, recovering swiftly from the jolt and trotting to meet her huntress. "Any news for me?"

In the early days of any membership, it was important to keep a new recruit busy. Often, they were seasoned wanderers, and it was not uncommon for wolves to take to the road without so much as a word of warning. Bazi did not like it, but that was the way of the world. If Blue did not see a future with Nova Peak, it only made sense that she seek her fortune elsewhere - something the pregnant Alpha did not want to see happen. She came to a halt in front of the blue-grey female, eyeing her curiously.
Blue walked up to Bazi and sat down in front of her.
I counted the males and young ones like you asked. 21 males and 13 young ones. However, there were some pregnant females so they should be expecting soon."

Blue then stood up and looked around for a second, she hoped Bazi wasn't mad at her for not returning right away.
Twenty-one males and thirteen young, the huntress recounted dutifully. Bazi met the statistics with an approving nod. "I don't know much about the .. 'inner workings' of those pigs," the Alpha admitted, cocking her head to one side. She lowered herself into a straight-backed sit, front paws pinning the tip of her white tail. "How many can we pick off in a sesaon, do you think?" For some insane pregnancy reason, the very thought of porcine flesh made it a struggle to keep the saliva in check. She was desperate to taste one, but feared it might open the floodgates and empty the rolling valleys of Hogbelly Hills forever. They did not know this prey, and could not hunt it as they would the familiar roaming ungulates.
