The pale wolfess wandered around her new home. A strange place it was. It was dark and gloomy, but at the same time interesting to Karliah. She was so use to the cold, that the spring weather here was almost to hot for her. She was always around ice, and cold air, so her fur was always so thick. However now she was shedding like crazy, and honestly it annoyed her. She gave a sigh and continued to explore the dark woods. She would need to find a good den location, and that's exactly what she was searching for.

Eventually the pale female sat down in defeat after not having any success with finding a den. While she relaxed she thought back to her father, and wondered what he was doing. She missed him, but knew that leaving was the only option for her. With a smile on her face, Karliah began to groom herself, wanting to look presentable encase she met any of her fellow pack-mates.
It had been long since a ghost had joined the ranks of the dark pack. Strange, for they alway seemed to end up...missing. Kove had left in search of power, the white female had fled, and Bane...well, nobody knew what had happened to the father of Meldresi's pups. He wondered what would happen to this one.

The huge brute melted out of the shadows, stance superior and full of authority. "Hello, ghost. Welcome to the shadowed pack" he rumbled in a low voice, evaluating her. He did not attempt to flirt or charm her...his needs had been satisfied by a few of the shadows of the pack. "I do hope you're not afraid of the dark"
It wasn't long until a shadowy figure appeared from the dark, and called her a ghost. It was an intresting name, but that didn't mean she enjoyed it. "My name is not ghost, it's Karliah" she corrected him, but not in a disrespectful way.  She didn't want to get on this male's bad side, but at the same time she didn't appreciate him calling her ghost. The pale wolfess continued to listen as he welcomed her to the shadow pack. What the hell was that suppose to mean? She assumed since she was called a ghost and her fur was white, that the shadows were wolves with dark fur.

She wondered if that was how everyone spoke, calling wolves ghost and shadows. When he asked if she was afraid of the dark she snorted "I do not fear the darkness, as those afraid of the dark do not last long in this world" she said and watched for his reaction.
His dark eyes looked into hers, her brash, bold face. Not many wolves retained that boldness. Most, after some time in the woods...bent. "Very good, Karliah. Though words, unless proven, do not mean much." He sighed, full of relief, perhaps a bit dramatically. "At least you're not a crazy one. Watch out for them. Some wolves here are...unpredictable"

He sat, ears shoved forth in his constant, quiet authority. "What do you know of Blackfeather, Karliah?"
He seemed pleased with her answer, and warned her of unpredictable wolves. She gave a nod to let him know she heard him, and listened to his next question. He seemed to hold a type of authority and the pale wolfess wondered just how high up he was in the ranks. "I don't know much as I come from a great northern place called Alaska. Only the strongest of wolves can survive there" she said while sitting down. Karliah liked to brag about her birthplace as it was very difficult to survive there, and she was sure any of these Teekon wolves would not last three days in Alaska.

She wondered exactly what she should know about this pack. Was there something special about them, or was he just trying to explain the pack history. "What exactly should I know" she asked curious as to what this pack was all about,
Crescendo glanced at her lazily before starting his little spiel. "You should know that we are deeply involved in a few...conflicts, and you must be ready to pledge yourself completely to the pack at a moments notice. If you prove yourself to Meldresi, you may be inducted into the ranks of the elite Dark Brotherhood." He twisted slightly as to display his mark, and wait for her reaction before continuing. He enjoyed greeting the new members, and guessing how long they would last.
