Luka was proud of his new pack. Charka has proved to be an honest and just leader. After Scimitar and Luka joined soon the pack prospered. It grew from a measly 3 wolf pack to a strong one filled with the scents of many wolves. Luka had yet to meet any of the other wolves besides his alpha. Luka was really curious on what his new pack had in store for him relationship wise. Luka was really looking forward to meeting new wolves to call his brothers and sisters.

Luka started to wander around the forest he called home. In this early morning the mist grasped the soft ground and hung around the base of the trees. The sun rose slowly and barely broke though the canopy of evergreens. Luka looked up at the sun and smiled. He began to wander around looking for different herbs and plants to help him with his knowledge in medicine. Looking through the forest floor he found different forms of moss that he could use.
Scimitar had gotten small whiffs of his swarthy friend's scent, but had not seen him since their arrival. Reassured only that Luka was still within the pack lands, it did not settle well with the cinnamon male that the two had not touched base for so long. Drifting towards the center of the lands after a sweep of the borders, Scim had come across the stronger trail of his brother, and without hesitation, his pace quickened as he loped along the trail, hoping to find Luka.

Fate was kind that day, and within a quarter of an hour, Scimitar's bright eyes fell upon the dark shades of black that cloaked his friend. Uttering a 'woof' of greeting, the Frostfur quickened his pace, closing the distance between them as his gaze worriedly swept over his friend's form, making sure he was okay. "There you are," he rumbled, a small smirk now smoothing across his features. Coming up alongside Luka, he nudged the male gently to his shoulder, his eyes now falling upon the moss his companion's deep blue eyes were set upon. "What're you doing?"

Luka was curious on what other types of plants and herbs Luka could possibly use for medicine.  His curiosity also fell on the location of his brother. Scimitar and Luka hadn't met up since their meeting with their alpha.  Luka shrugged it off, Scimitar was probably making the females of their pack swoon. The hearty male was surely be found attractive by all females. His body and personally was something that was wildly wanted by many young females. Luka smiled at the thought of his brother winning the heart of a lucky female.

Luka continued to look down at the moss near his paw. Soon after his thoughts about Scimitar faded and his want of knowledge filled him, his brother ironically showed his face. Luka smiled as he heard his brother bark a greeting to him. Luka gave a slight smile as his brother nudged his shoulder. Luka gave him a submissive lick on the muzzle as the male asked him what he was doing. Luka saw his brothers eyes fall to the moss near his paw. Scimitar asked him what he was doing and Luka could hardly sum it up in a few words.

"I am looking around for different herbs and stuff to further my knowledge in medicine. Luka smiled as he gazed down at the moss at his paw. "It's quite interesting really, I could use this moss as a blood clot and to transport water."  Luka felt a rant coming on but he figured his brother could handle it. "Say if a wolf was sick and couldn't be moved for water, I could trap the water in moss and bring it to them!" Luka concluded and looked up at his brother. "Enough about me, what have you been up to? Any ladies catch your eye?" Luka smirked as he ask his brother.
Luka's lick to his chin stirred a rumble of appreciation from the male as he cast a nip of affection to his only friend. Turning his attention to what Luka was doing, his eyes studied the moss, his ears swiveling forward as the ebony wolf described the uses of what he had once never considered as anything of significance. "I didn't realize the art of healing was something you knew so much about," he offered, casting a sideways glance to the ebony wolf. Drawing himself up again, he canted his muzzle slightly. "The Alpha will surely be happy to know she has an aspiring healer within her ranks." He, at least was, especially as he was completely useless about anything that had to do with plants or herbs.

Another question pressed forward, and a small snort of amusement escaped the Lambda's nostrils. "Are there any ladies here?" It was a question derived more from amusement than anything -- aside from Chakra and a nervous little creature at the borders and then a brazen and arrogant Alpha of another pack at the borders, there had been little female presence in his life. It was just as well.. Scimitar had never been a smooth talker when it came to the fairer sex.

Luka looked up at Scimitar as he questioned Luka on how he knew so much. It was Luka's mom, an ex healer from her old pack that raised him. She was kicked out of the pack for reasons she never explained to Luka. When you're a lone wolf knowledge in medicine was essential. Knowing how to cure a simple wound could be the difference between life and death. "My mother taught me well."  Luka gave a glance of pride as Scimitar mentioned their alpha.

Luka chuckled as Scimitar let out a snort before questioning the existence of females. "I do recall our alpha to be a lady, unless my eyes fooled me." Luka retorted lightly joking about their leader. "Oh please brother, I smell them all around us! One just has to look." Luka stated with sarcasm dripping from his toungue. "Honestly I haven't seen any wolf but you and our leader."
A snort of amusement escaped the agouti male then – his eyes cast over the swarthy form of his companion with good humor before he gave a small shake of his broad creamy muzzle. “Oh no.. She’s certainly all female, that one,” he agreed with a low rumble before his shoulders lifted in a casual shrug. “But I try not to set myself up for failure.” His words were followed with the flash of a grin, and as Luka continued his statement, Scimitar took a moment to settle down upon his haunches.

“Then they’re avoiding me,” he mused then, warmed by the presence of Luka – the wolf who had proved to be his only friend since his wanderlust had taken him from his birth pack. “Wise decision,” he crooned as a final decision, giving the ebony wolf a small wink as he allowed the conversation to go by the wayside. “You’ll meet others. Neverwinter Forest is growing far more steadily than Tuatha De.” He fell to silence then, his aqua eyes shifting to the surrounding trees as he became contemplative. Had they never stumbled across their current home.. they likely would have either been forced to forge a pack of their own, or perished in the winter. While the latter was obviously not an option for him (he liked himself too much), he also held no desire to lead. Not yet, anyway.

Luka gave his own little friendly growl when the male mentioned their alpha. Luka wouldn't be surprised in the end if he ended up with her as his mate. While Luka had known Scimitar for a short while the wolf had a way with the world. Their alpha surely took notice in him. Luka knew that if the male really wanted a mate he wouldn't fail. He chose not to press further on the subject.

Luka took notice of all the new scents around the forest. Trutha De compared to this pack was an abandon hare hole even in its busiest times. "This pack is going somewhere I can feel it." Luka noted, spraying his ideas onto his brother. Luka knew that as long as their alpha stayed present, her scent filling the surrounding trees, dancing in the thick air, swirling around his pack mates that this pack would survive. It was funny to Luka, that by simply one wolf's presents a hole group could be held together. Their alpha was everything, and Luka was nearly certain that as long as she was around so would the pack. "How have you been Scimitar?" Luka inquired. He was curious on how his brother was doing.

The cinnamon wolf gave a nod of agreement to the obsidian male’s words – Neverwinter Forest was flourishing, and Scimitar, after months of searching for a place to call home that was not his birth pack and littered with family, was all too happy to claim he had been here from the beginning.

His companion questioned his well-being, and the male’s broad shoulders lifted in a rugged shrug, his eyes casting disinterestedly to the trees. “Well enough. Keeping busy. How about you?” They had traveled with one another for weeks in search of a new home after Tuatha De had crumbled – now, they barely saw one another. It was strange.. and Scimitar did not like it.

Yet the conversation also grew too serious for the bear-like wolf’s liking, and with a cheeky grin, the Frostfur flopped himself toward the ground, stretching across the snow on his side with a grace that only settled upon him when he was not stumbling around. With his paws outstretched to tap at Luka’s own forepaws, he glanced up at the ebony male, chuffing softly. “So you were quick to bring up the topic of the fairer sex,” he mused with a rumble. “Does that mean any have caught your eye?”

Luka was proud of how much the pack had grown in such a short smidgen of time. He couldn't help but wonder how many wolves now flourished amongst the land. Being raised with just his mother and having interactions with very few wolves Luka wasn't accustomed to being near so many wolves. This was something that Luka could get used to.

The ebony wolf gave his brother a grin when the hearty  male mentioned he kept busy. Luka himself also tried to keep his wandering mind at bay by simply gaining knowledge. While to completely full his mind to his own liking Luka would need to leave the pack territory and go out searching for something more. "I have been keeping myself busy. Trying to expand my knowledge." Luka replied nonchalantly.

Luka gazed as his brother gave a very cheesy smile before lazily landing himself on the ground. The giant laid across the snow and oddly gave off a graceful tone. Scimitar tapped his paws against Luka's and gazed up at him with bright unsettling eyes that seemed to unmask Luka from his core. Scimitar was one of the very few wolves Luka felt he could actually confide in. The thick male then asked him what his love life, or lack there of, was like. "Ha, none have even wandered across my eye. Let alone be caught by it.  Luka spoke with truth in his words. He never was a lady killer, in all honesty he hardly had any interaction with the opposite sex besides his mother, and their leader. "I think I scare them with my dashing good looks and knowledge. It's a curse really."  Luka rumbled sarcastically before also plopping himself down into a more comfortable position.
