@Fox ? :)

Spring meant that flowers were starting to bloom again, and certain herbs were best collected this time of year. Her earlier injuries had shown her the importance of building stores over the spring and summer, for winter injuries could prove fatal if left without proper tending— she had only been lucky that her fall hadn't resulted in more severe consequences, and that the wounds she did find herself with were ones that could be easily healed without much attention.

She wasn't particularly sure of what herbs to actually look for, though, and so she plucked any that weren't obviously poisonous, intending to divine their properties... somehow. Healing was something difficult to learn except through mentorship, but her time amongst the Corvidae had granted her cursory knowledge; the more advanced talents would need to be learned through trial and error.

A bunch of foliage hung in her mouth— all the same plant— as she trotted towards her den. It would be tedious filling her personal cache of herbs, but she hoped the efforts would grant her some acceptance. As she moved through the forest, Magpie mused over how she might expand her densite to accommodate the needs of a healer and (perhaps) multiple patients.
Spring was most definitely in the air, and with it came all the familiar smells of the year prior. Fox spent much of her time watching after the children. They were often outside now, bouncing and playing outside the den. Eventually, they would abandon the den completely in favor of the rendezvous site, and they would begin sleeping out in the open, as Fox had grown accustomed to when they had first moved to Redhawk Caldera. Not only did the pups have more freedom, so did Fox. She had begun to reject their pleas for milk on occasion, and gradually she would wean them off of it completely. Now that they were eating meat on the regular, it was the natural progression.

She wasn't out to do anything in particular, although a little while into her walk, Fox realized she hadn't even been near the borders since the kids had been born. Eager to get back into the habit, Fox started toward the southern edge of her queendom. She didn't make it far before she came upon Magpie and her plans to patrol were quickly set aside for some sister time. "Hey, Mags!" she greeted, "Whatcha got there?" It seemed Magpie was carrying around some plants of some sort, though Fox's knowledge on that subject was next to none.

The two settled into a comfortable conversation about plants, most of which went in one of Fox's ears and out the other. Nevertheless, she enjoyed the quality time she got to spend with her half sister before returning to a short patrol. After that, it was back to her nuclear family.
