Rob had never returned home. He didn't want Hawkeye to confront him; he did not wish to speak with her, or sulk in her presence. He had taken up residence under a bush in Ravensblood Forest, shivering the night through. His mind and heart raced with thought and hurt all at once. The two entities were in sync and at war with one another.

He needed to get things out. He didn't know anyone in his pack, and he didn't want them pitying him for his past. A neutral party? Jinx was not an option. She would not care to hear of his troubles. So, he looked for Pied. His step-mother.

Wandering around for hours listlessly, he put off calling for the female. Maybe she would come around soon, but he dreaded her coming. Talking about such issues would be painful, and he wondered whether or not she would care; he knew she didn't prefer him after his behavior, and that she would always choose his father above himself, but maybe she could help.
