Life was nothing if not interesting, Annique DeMonte had decided, as she worked diligently to extricate herself from her peculiar predicament. She'd wormed her scrawny body into a rabbit warren covered over by a thick accumulation of dead tree limbs overlaid with snow, only to find the warren nearly entirely deserted. The rabbits had long since moved their abode and these were but the oldest channels that formed the back way into their new real estate development. Half-collapsed tunnels and narrow passageways certainly not designed for wolfish endeavors were ahead of her, and in order to abandon her wild goose chase, Annique had to try to back up to get out.

That would have been all well and good, except that somehow in her brash entrance into the place, she'd managed to collapse much of the wood pile and nearly all of the surface light--along with her exit--was now obscured by snow and tree debris and very prickly, pointy, uncomfortable limbs that were reaching deep into the warren's channels to prod at her backside and scratch her tender-skinned underbelly. The only way out, then, was to dig up, and so Annique dug vigorously and with great conviction. Naturally she'd been a recluse as of yet in Neverwinter Forest, and had told no one that she was here; it had been a split-second attempt to nab a quick--or very quick, apparently--dinner. Annique grumbled as she heard the rustlings of her would-have-been-entree somewhere nearby, surely sitting and watching and laughing as its lupine pursuer tried to tunnel upwards and outwards.

Luka was still on his search for herbs and plants that could help him further his education in medicine. His mother left him off with basic knowledge but Luka being the determined wolf he is decided he would make the trek and find out what plant life lies deep in the heart of Neverwinter forest. As of now he only came across few plants and forms of moss.

He noted the few dens and various forms of houses for different types of mammals: wolf and prey alike. The only observation that was odd was the fact an abandon den was wiggling. Luka being a curious being approached the hole. With his head tilted and sense tingling he trotted closer to the den made of tree and various plant life topped with snow. Luka only looked away to see a rabbit sprinting away to another hiding spot near the den.

When Luka was only feet away from the den when he took in the aroma of a pack mate. "Hello? Are you stuck?" Luka called out to the clump of dead trees.
I'm sorry this sucks, I'm still trying to figure Annique's character out.

"Are you stuck?" The voice filtered in along with murky sunlight through the pile of branches and down the narrow channel into damp, cold soil. Annique felt a surge of relief that someone, at least, would know she was here if she were to perish in this subterranean environment. Quick on the heels of that thought, she said in a voice that would be prim if she didn't have to yell to be heard, "I am, and you will kindly help extricate me from this awkward situation." Dirt covered the girl in clods and clumps that clung to her pale fur, darkening her cheeks and shoulders and haunches, yet the girl had gone instantly into her modus operandus, placing a false identity, feigned personality, and a facade of genteel manners.

It was not that she had any particular motive or mission for which she concealed herself; she had simply trained in subterfuge so long that it had become a second nature to the DeMonte, and now she used her skills and training as a barrier to keep others from coming close. It was a part of her training that remained with her--to keep those who might genuinely care out. When one was working as mercenary or spy, letting others in, and trusting them, would only spell heartache or danger to those who she'd allowed to grow close.

Those thoughts, congealed in the form of memories of her father's lessons, swept through her mind and quickly left it at the girl's bidding. She needed her full concentration to dig out of the rabbit warren, and she only hoped she could gain the cooperation of the wolf on the topside.

Luka was extremely curious on why the wolf had inched into such a tiny space in the first place. Luka guessed she was looking for a new den to call home and she just got lucky enough to find one that was too small. When the voice danced through the tumbled dead branches and dirt he could barely make it out. "Uh any ideas on how I am to help? I can just attempt to break the whole thing?" Luka offered.

While Luka assumed the wolf was apart of Neverwinter it was better safe than sorry. "Not to be mean or anything but you are apart of Neverwinter right? Or do I have to take you in?" Luka spoke sarcastically trying to start small talk with the wolf while they tried to get her out.
