Daemon

By the light of dawn, the Tangle was an ugly, and dreary place.  The thorny shrubbery and twisted, unholy trees were the least of his worry. The ground was littered with sudden and dangerous drops, and one pale paw slid over the edge of one before he nimbly stepped back and looked down at the ground with utter disdain in his pale eyes. Wretched land and wretched grass, he drew in a deep breath and snorted in irritation. Thorns from the shrubbery had found their way into the pale beast's fur and his ears flicked back against his skull as he skulked his way beneath a particularly thick tangle, jerking his tail forward with irritation when some of the long hairs got caught.
"May the Great One scourge you from the earth." It was petty to request divine intervention for mere irritation but the land was ghastly. Another careful step and Daemon leapt nimbly down a small overhang, landing with a soft thud on his pale paws. He would continue on his way until he found somewhere more pleasant, such a wretched place was no fit land for the children of the Great One.
thanks for starting @Daemon!

She was back up in the north, having returned from her days-long scouting trip. Yet to return to the side of her fellow Amazons, Nochtli was still exploring, learning the land that lay around them. It would be important to know, important to be aware of. If their Prince was so fond of wars, then Nochtli would make sure she knew everything he would need. With a sigh, she pulled her head up, bright eyes searching the twisted stretch of land. The trees here were... well, hellish. Ugly.

She moved on, mood only lifting when she spotted another. Kicking into a trot, Nocta approached him with a bark to grab his attention. "Hello!" Her greeting came right after he'd come down from the higher step. "Rather desolate place, isn't it?" She couldn't trust it. What had happened here to make this place so... so nightmarish.
