Mature Content Warning

This thread has been marked as mature. By reading and/or participating in this thread, you acknowledge that you are of age or have permission from your parents to do so.

The participants have indicated the following reason(s) for this warning: Foul language. Also some blood and gore, but it's not very graphic.
Hunger twisted his gut, a deafening and antagonistic sound for his ears alone. Yet his hunger drove him ever onward. The delectable scent of blood was his only incentive. Fortuitously, he had caught a doe unawares and snagged her with his fangs. Far from a killing blow, else he would not be hounding after her.
INDENTAh, the mundane struggles of a loner.
INDENTHe tires of it.
INDENTPerhaps today he'll get lucky and not face the night with an empty belly. No, not again...Tatsuya did not have the pleasure of living with “perhaps,” only certainties. It has been like this for near four months now, a feat all its own. Luck has certainly played a hand in his fate, which he finds unnerving. Luck was not always going to keep him fed, healthy and alive. That's for damn sure.
INDENTFollowing the doe's trail was an easy endeavor, but keeping up with her was a different matter. As least she left behind crimson footnotes just for him. How sweet. Tatsuya had managed to sink his fangs deep into her left flank. So deep was her wound that it still bleed hours into the evening. Keeping this in mind, he crested an obscuring hill to find his prey sluggishly trying to run around a sizable lake. Smart, not going through it. It looked deep even for a cervid. Still, to have that option – swimming to the center of the lake in lieu of dying in his jowls...
INDENTSeeing this alternative drove him to the brink, sprinting down the hill to cut off that choice. Hearing his thundering pads frightened her to quicken the pace, yet he was nearly upon her. So close, so close I can taste it...!
INDENTHer right hoof sunk into the earth, entombed in mud and muck from the lake. Tatsuya was upon her in seconds, jaws closed around that neck. It struggled fruitlessly against him, but he prevailed. Victory. O, it was gloriously fleeting. His body screamed in exhaustion as he dragged the carcass away from the miry area, collapsing on top of the cervid immediately after. Just...need a breather...He could feel his heart pounding in every limb. Felt like a caged beast in his chest trying to break out, but at least he would not go hungry again tonight.
Tonravik moved from home back to the Lake she and her mate had come to, so that she could find if the herd of Mule Deer was still about. Last time, that very herd had moved in the direction of the Caldera. Perhaps they had come back. The woman followed her nose, and soon the scent of blood, coppery and strong, filled the air. Her head turned in the direction the scent came from before she moved toward it.

This day would be one of the last she would leave her home. Tonravik understood there was something changing in her. It was this that brought on her desire to corral the herd and send it in her packs direction. To get any and all food sources she knew of to she and hers. The leader moved in the direction of the scent, following it. When the scent was found, the leader noted the wolf upon it tearing into its throat until it stilled.

The woman moved purposefully in that direction, the scent of blood enough to cause her once nonexistent hunger to flare within her. Her strides were long, and the authoritative air to them suggested he step aside. There was no question as to who would win this fight if there was to be one. While his figure suggested there was much power to it, he looked tired, and his scent told her that he had been alone for a long while. She could see, perfectly, the toils of being a lone wolf in him.

And in her, he would see the opposite. The bear of a wolf was large, strong, and healthy. Truly a prime example of the best possible outcome of their species, despite the monstrous and masculine look to her. For everything she held physically, she lacked mentally; but she never had needed smarts. It was her power, her instinct, that got her to where she was now.
No sooner did his heart begin to slow did company come knocking. Still hovering above his well earned meal, Tatsuyo urged his tired body to move. Unexpectedly, it was not to bum rush the she-wolf. As much as he might have wanted to – and he really, really wanted to – Tatsuya improvised. Whilst keeping an eye on the bossy female, he broke into the doe's stomach with ease, blood spilling at his feet. Hastily, he wretched an organ free from the carcass and moved away, turning his back to the pack wolf. Ears swiveled in their sockets to tune in on her location. Meanwhile, he chewed on his insufficient meal, practically snarfing it down in short order.
INDENTThis encounter was far from over. How much could a wolf eat in two minutes, anyway?
He put up no contest. And so she left him to his organ, moving to take over the animal and take the lions share of it, retrieving the liver and other nutritional parts of it. But her hunger did not last for long, and she rose to leave the rest of it to the lone wolf. She felt a need to sleep off her meal, but moved into the lake first.

The cold roused her, and the water cleaned her of the blood so no predators would find her on her journey home. She left the dark male to his own devices, but Tonraviks own ears listened for him.
The loner did not know what to make of this encounter, sighing as he felt slightly more rejuvenated. Having caught his breathe, he glared scathingly at her as she took a good portion of his kill. Once she moved away, he hurried to see what was left. Hardly anything nutritional. God fucking damn it. Retrieving what he could, he hastily ate what was left, eyes never leaving this asshole of a wolf.
INDENTSo far, she had been wordless, forcing him around with naught but dominant gestures. And what would a pack wolf be doing away from her home? Was she inept at hunting for herself? Did her coffers back home have little to no meat left? Was she with child? Honestly, he could not give less of a fuck for her reasons. He wanted what she took from him.
INDENTOnce finished, Tatsuya wasted no time jumping over the hollowed carcass to rush her.
The waters cooled her and cleaned her both. She emerged as quickly as she entered, senses still attentive to the lone wolf. The woman shook her furs out, her temperature lower; she became invigorated, and felt revitalized. She prepared to return home then, but the sudden silence alerted her to the fact the other had finished.

She was close to him, but had moved away enough to be able to (just barely) gather herself. She turned toward him, head on, and lunged at him in kind, her spring thrusting all of her weight back at him. There was little time to gather all of her momentum, but ideally the move would be enough to shock him and cause him some sort of misstep, lips peeled backward but not yet grabbing for flesh.
Tatsuya despised fighting. All that energy could be put toward something more profitable for all involved. What good was there in tearing each other apart? Neither of them would gain anything from this incursion. Worst of all, he was likely to end up walking away with a horrid limp and damaged pride. That alone nearly dissuaded him, but frustration burned red hot within him. He spent hours tracking that stupid fucking deer only to have this stupid fucking shit fuck take it from him.
INDENTHoly shit cakes he was furious.
INDENTTheir bodies collided. Tatsuya knew she would weigh more than him. Why wouldn't she? She had a pack to come serve her meals daily! Had he been in peak condition, he probably could have canceled out their collision, or send her tiptoeing backwards. Okay, tiptoeing was an understatement. He took two – three steps back before he could find his footing, pads sinking slightly into moist earth. Another shove from her and he'd be on his back...with her on top.
INDENTHer flash of teeth and gums did not deter him. Skull angled down, muzzle obstructing throat, he opened his maw wide with his tongue safely pressed into his lower jaw. Tatsuya tried to clamp his jaws over her own whilst also trying to steer their combined weights right or left by hooking his arms around whatever he could reach. She was a big gal. He was bound to get something, right?
Tonravik watched as her weight moved him and was quick to go for him again. Her own muzzle was draped protectively over her throat, and the wolf was quick to attempt to grab it. He succeeded, but the alpha female ripped her snout from his grip as her weight, again, was thrown full force into him. The thin skin of her muzzle had broken and bled freely, but with her head tucked and ears flat she sought to truly knock the man down.

She believed it was pride that brought him to attack her after his meal, and would unabashedly put the lone wolf in his place. The meat had been available, and unprotected. That was why to have a pack was important, and she hoped her attempt to teach this lesson would bring sense back to him. Tonravik had no desire to fight the wolf, only to defend herself; she hoped this would end quickly, so she could return home.
The bitch did not give him an inch when he faltered, his plans falling to ruins as she shoved him down onto his back. Even though the land was quaggy, it still managed to knock the air out of him. Spittle erupted from his maw, most likely landing on the bitch's face. Tatsuya would have laughed cruelly at the huge lugie if he hadn't been breathless. Wheezing and gasping to get air back into his lungs, he noticed the blood on his teeth. It certainly wasn't his...Looking up, he noticed the shallow abrasions across the bitch's muzzle. Serves you right.
INDENTBut it was not enough. It would never be enough.
INDENTWith a loud growl meant to startle (or grate on her nerves at the volume), Tatsuya began snapping mercilessly at her face. And he was really going at it too, quick and powerful nips thrown every which way. Even though he was in no condition to be giving demands, Tonravik would abide in getting the fuck away from me or losing bits and pieces of her face.
INDENTActually, no. Time's up. Tired of waiting. He wasn't giving her a choice, just like she had given him none.
INDENTTatsuya became a flurry of movement, kicking his limbs out this way and that. He must have done something to get her to back off. She did not seem all that interested in pursuing this ordeal any further. Nor he. Just the sight of her brought his blood to boil and vomit to rise in his throat. Shit. Shit. He needed to keep what little he got down...
INDENTWriggling his massive body, he got his feet beneath him and darted away from her. If she intended to make him bleed, she lost her chance. If she intended to make him submit, well...the chances of that happening has gone into the negatives. Looking back past his shoulder, he unabashedly met her gaze and spoke: “私は食べ物があなたに実行を与える願っています.” He departed after that. Her words did not deserve to reach his ears nor her ignorance of his tongue need not grace his eyes.

- EXIT TATSUYA -
His flurry of teeth were met with her own savage fury. The woman would go for the throat if he gave her room to, but he fought well for his life. His limbs then began to move wildly, scrabbling at her as a rat would against a felines paw. It was this that got her to move, thinking of the potential of life within her, and his saliva hung loosely from her, swinging back into his direction as she whipped her muzzle and gave a volatile snap as he moved to retreat.

He could go. But it was when he looked her in the eye that the woman loosed a snarl that proclaimed a different sort of hunger, and whatever words he said went over her head as she charged after him to push him down again, remind him of his place in these wilds. It did not matter to the hormonal woman in this moment that this was neutral territory, only that he know his merit and worth in the world as he wandered it alone.

But the other retreated, on his way, and Tonravik took his turning his back to her as some sort of acquiescence, and did not give chase or move to attack again. Her own saliva hung loosely from her lips, now, and when the other was out of sight the bear of a woman was on her way. She would not come scavenge from these parts again; she thought of how his legs flailed and nearly landed upon her belly, but scratched instead against her chest and his rear legs against her sides. Too dangerous for the life within.
