The black brute walked over the warm dirt in a calm fashion. Though he had ruined his chances in getting into a Pack, he had at least got some bloodlust out of him. That was good. Maybe it was best if he didn't join a Pack at all? It might hurt someone in the future. But still, all he knew was Pack life. Though he may have a phycotic side of him, it may come to some good use. Somehow.

He shook the thought from his mind. Who cared what people thought of him? Only he knew what he was capable of. Nobody else. He licked his chops in anger. The dried blood on his muzzle soothed him.

Issun lied where he stood, enjoying the warmth. It was pretty hot today, but he didn't whine about it. Better to be hot then covered in snow right? Wow, I've never been so bored in my life! He huffed, rolling around in the dirt. He looked like a fool but there was nothin beter to do. His belly was full and there was no potential danger he could smell.

Firestone Hot Springs. This was one of the places that FitzDutiful was keeping his eye on. His pack borders extended part way into their lands and, aside from that, this was the place where he had first met Raissa. It had always been a stopping point for him, at least every other day, when they had ruled the mountainside together but now that she was gone he went every day, if he could find the time.

Today was no exception though today was going to be different to normal. Normally he would head into the hot springs and soak for a while, from the time the sun hit the mountain peek until he just disappeared behind, ready to make the start into the afternoon. Today someone else was there.

Their numbers were small and this black wolf looked to be a loner. There was a slight scent of the spine in the air, but not strong enough for this wolf to belong there. FitzDutiful wasn't in the mood for verbal spars today, though. No sugar coating.

"You here just to roll in dirt and bathe or are you seeking a pack?" he said as he approached the black wolf, looking him over. Frankly, he wasn't that fussed about the "family" aspect of his pack right now. That would come in time, that would be the moment this strong, black wolf was allowed near the pups unsupervised. That would be the moment he proved to FitzDutiful the pack was more important than the single individual. That would come to pass if he was even interested in joining the mountain group.
Issun turned over to see the scorce of the voice. A strong pale wolf stood before him. He stood up with a grunt. "First one sounds right. That and getting gals." Typical for him. Always trying to flirt up a storm with almost every girl he sees. He couldn't help himself. "But I guess joining a pack sounds good to." But if he had to prove something to the male like last time, what could he do? He was a good tracker and killer but last time he showed that he could have been ripped to shreads.
Blunt, straight and to the point but it seemed to work. The black male didn't seem to take offence which was good - he wasn't in the mood to deal with the drama today. Drama was driving him crazy and he had decided, ever since his encounter with Tatum, that drama wasn't worth it. He could deal with that conflict another day.

"You can hunt? I assume you're managing to feed yourself and know how pack hunts work?" He didn't ignore the jibe about the females however, a wry smile had come to his face at that. He was half tempted to go after the ladies himself but it was drama and unless they had some wits about them, kind of boring.

He slowly slipped into a pool and began his midday bathe. Drama wasn't going to detract him from this routine, not right now - the space of time only last a few hours but he was going to make the most of the bathes and the energy (from relaxation though he didn't assume that was the reason) they gained him.
He chuckled at the other's words. "Well if I couldn't I wouldn't be talkin' to ya' right now." He stood up and shook some of the clinging dirt of his back. "Birds would be picking off my body." That didn't seem so pleasant. He'd rather eat birds than birds eat him. Though their feathers are super anoying to get through.

"Yeah, I know how they work." People barking orders at me from all directions, that's how. It seemed as though the boy was still just a child. Had such an immature mind and was so rude to everyone and everything. He watched the other dip into the bubbling spring. "Looks relaxing. Never hadanything like this back where I came from." Even if they did, he wasn't too fond of water.
The similarly curt response from the black wolf caused a moment of shock to ripple through FitzDutiful. What was he doing? If he wanted to recruit, he needed a little more tact and understanding. He wasn't an old wolf and, even though this one was younger than him, that didn't give him any excuse to be rude.

The other responded that the bathing looked relaxing and, as FitzDutiful felt the tension dissipate, he replied. "It is. I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself. I'm FitzDutiful - and apologies for the curt questions I recently lost my mate but that doesn't excuse my behaviour." The fact she ran away wasn't all that important. "Anyway, I'm alpha of Silvertip Mountain - that mountain," with an indication to the mountain's base, "I'd like to offer you a place with us. We could use someone who would like to specialise in hunting and, in return, lead the pack hunts."

The opportunity to run the pack hunt - that was what FitzDutiful wanted his gamekeepers to do. He just needed gamekeepers in the first place.
The man introduced him as FitzDutiful. "That seems hard to remember. Mind if I call ya Fitz?" He frowned at his next words. "Sorry to hear that." He wasn't really the consoling type. He'd never been through anything too tragic in his life. Hopefully he never will.

Issun's head turned over to the rocky slopes from afar. Seemed like a challenging place to be. But he was always ready for chalenges. "I'm Issun. He introduced himself with a warm smile. "Ya know... joining your Pack sounds good to me. It's better than sitting on my arse all day long." he was a man who liked to do productive things. The best place is to do it in a Pack right?[/b]"
Surprisingly, Issun - the black wolf soon introduced himself - accepted FitzDutiful's invitation to join the pack. It was interesting how, by not trying too hard, he was able to recruit lone wolves easier than when he had been actively pursuing and tracking down lone wolves (then he had rarely come across one let alone found one that wanted to join).

"It's nice to meet you, Issun." FitzDutiful said, returning the smile, "and Fitz is fine by me." he was building up quite the collection of nicknames from the various wolves that he met in the valley. It was nice, that way, for each of them had a unique aspect instead of one common experience that they all shared. "If you don't mind waiting I'll give you a guided tour, or you're welcome to head up the mountain and make yourself at home."

Either way, Issun was part of the pack and, hopefully, part of the family too.
Fade next post?

He offered to give him a tour of the mountain. "Sounds like a plan." Getting to know his new territory was key. Every bush and den. Every wayinside and out. He started walking towards their destination, a bit slowly to give some time for Fitz to follow. He found himself a bit excited to finally get to bein a Pack. It was something he had wanted since he left Poncle Woods.
Issun headed towards his new home and FitzDutiful decided against staying until the sun moved to the right position. He owed Issun a proper introduction and wanted the black wolf to feel at home, so he pulled himself out of the water and shook himself off, moving at a faster pace to catch up with his new member. "I hope you like it with us," he said smiling - very glad that his initial temper hadn't soured the male's introduction to the land.

He was about to lead this tour for the second time in almost as many days. It was hopefully an interesting tour, showing the newcomer all the sights and sounds, introducing them to the other pack members they came upon along the way and a definite stop by the two most important pack member - the pups.
