Aku, her father raped a Greek slave named Aoede who went on to give birth to a litter of two: Scipio and Arruntius. Deeming the newborn Arruntius as too weak and pathetic to survive, Aku killed him. A secondary assault upon Aoede led to the conception of Basilie and her own small litter, comprised mainly of male children.

Basilie, as one of the few females born at this time, was coveted. Until it was made known that her mother was Greek, of course, and that in turn made Basilie's standing reduce to the status of her mother; however, Basilie has always been fixated upon the Roman way of life. She worked her way through trials and tribulations in order to prove herself as a true warrior. In the process, the girl earned herself some fighting experience and prowess, although she is not nearly as proficient as her brothers - full or half.

Eager to prove herself as a real Roman, Basilia left behind <b>Noctem Vagus</b> and ventured away on a quest for notoriety, to bring fame unto herself and proper recognition from her father. In doing this she stripped herself of the name "Puella" which was given to her by her father (as it means <i>slave girl</i>); she gives out false names more often than her true Roman name for the time being, as she does not trust many individuals.
