Somnia was born in a small, nameless pack that consisted of only her mother, her father, her three older siblings and herself. The pack eventually disintegrated as her three older siblings left to start their own packs while her mother and father split up to join two different packs. Unsure of who to resume her life with, Somnia decided to not go with anyone, but to find a pack of her own.

She found Redhawk Caldera near the end of fall, and formed great friendships with the leading tier. In the beginning of spring, Somnia was at a low point in her life. Her one friend had disappeared without a word, and her relation with her Alpha's sister weren't too good. In an effort to lower her stress levels, she went exploring. Whilst exploring some mountainous terrain, she fell and hit her head. She woke up to a foreign wolf taking care of her injury. The damage wasn't permanent, but it took its toll. However, the wolf who had saved her made her go back and serve his pack, for she "owed him for helping her." Somnia made a couple escape attempts, but each one failed. Finally, she was allowed to go in the middle of fall.

Dutifully, she spent a couple weeks traveling back to the lands of her pack.
