When he was eight weeks old, Paarthurnax and Durnehviir, his sister vanished abruptly. The pack's Alpha cared for them for a while before his father, Shadow showed up and offered him the chance of leaving. And Romulus, with only his siblings as ties to SC, decided to leave with his dad. He went to live with his father in Noctisardor Bypass for sometime before Shadow decided to disband his pack, go back to his natal pack and defeat his father once and for all, therefore bringing his son, Rom with him. Romulus never saw his brothers, Relonikiv and Julius, his sister, Durnehviir or his mother ever again and still misses them terribly.

It took several months to reach Noctem Vagus where Shadow challenged his father and beat Aku in a fair gladiator fight, banishing him from ever returning to the lands, freeing the pack from his brutal control and becoming Noctem Vagus's rightful ruler. There, Romulus learnt the ways of the Romans, learnt how to fight and think and hunt. It was there where he learnt about his family, learnt about his relationship to the god Pluto whom was his patron. It was there where his father had a brief fling with an Arabic girl and ended up having children, children that he had not expected to have. Shadow did not know what to do, he wanted to leave and give up once more but Romulus, delighted at the idea of having siblings once more, told his father to give it a go and in the end, Shadow relented.

Five children were born out of their fling, most named by Shadow and most of them named after Romulus's siblings and his mother's heritage. He wanted to stay in Noctem Vagus, become the heir to the throne of the pack and rule like his father did but wanderlust did not allow that to happen and slowly, Rom realised that his path went away from the pack and might never come back. Shadow noticed this and encouraged him to go and find his own way in the world, pushing his son to do what he wanted to do. In the end, Romulus decided to leave Noctem Vagus, promising to come back to see his siblings grow up.

On his birthday, December 16th, 2015. Romulus met a loner by the name of Sebastian and decided to join his fledging pack. He also decided that a new start needed a new name and shed his former name of Trajan and took upon the name of Romulus. However, soon after, Sebastian gave up on the founding of Dragoncrest Cliffs pack as his girlfriend was no longer around and so Romulus left and soon came across Porcupine Ridge, a newly formed pack led by Taggarik. After a tense entrance, he was accepted into their ranks.

Soon, feeling distracted and without purpose, Romulus leaves Teekon Wilds and returns back to his natal pack where he trains, take cares of his younger siblings and tries to understand life. Training soon takes him to the Roman rank equivalent of General. He stays for a few months, then leaves again, still unsatisfied with life at home. Shadow, sensing his need for change, encourages him and sends him on his way. So he left.
