As a pup, Redwood was a playful, care-free, loyal spirit. His mother, a Lone Wolf, was always on edge with everything, because his father vowed to kill her and her pups (at the time, Redwood didn't even know his father, nor that he craved for blood). When he was about 6 months old, his father, along with other wolves, found his family and slew all of his siblings and mother. Redwood was the lucky one to escape. For a few weeks, he couldn't bring himself to face anyone or anything. He had no interests in finding a Pack. But after awhile, he became his free spirited self once again, but still refused to bring himself to face another wolf again.

At the Blackfeather Woods, Redwood was captive with Lexis and Crescendo controlling them both. Weeks after, he had the chance to escape.

Soon after his escape, Redwood sought vengeance from his father. travled outside the Teekon in search of his murderous father, but soon returned after the unsuccessful search. He soon met Raven Vyler and became her traveling companion
