Due to an unnamed developmental disorder, even as an adult, June is slightly behind in terms of socialization and mental development, causing her to be child-like and naive even still. She's easily distracted and focusing is difficult for her. Due to feeling differently on the inside than she is on the outside, June struggles to connect with wolves besides FitzDutiful and Mason and often goes through the motions of communicating without making a genuine connection. This makes her come off as distant, whimsical, and "off". Despite this, June always speaks with chilling clarity and self-awareness. She's very difficult to offend and never succumbs to pride, choosing instead to be humble. June is horribly afraid of other wolves learning her secret self-chosen name, as she believes it gives them power over her soul and very being.
