Captain grew in a place called Sun River Valley. Her family (Stark, Banner, and Rhodey) all lived together as a small pack. A rival pack known as WInter's Bluff was at war with them, but it did not take much of a toll on Captain, who soon became close friends with one of the opposing soldiers (Ezekiel). Her friendship was soon lost, though, when he was forced to kill her cousin. In grief and terror, her family moved away from his pack. Meanwhile, her brother (Stark) was having second thoughts about staying. He was always in Captain's shadow, as she was both stronger and bolder. He left the pack a few months after their move, leaving Captain, Banner, and Rhodey to fend for themselves. They got along well enough, though Captain felt rather wounded by her brother's abandonment. Nevertheless, news of the famine traveled and the pack believed that they were alright. Until, of course, they weren't. As hunger changed many of the wolves Captain thought were friends, her pack split up in their haste to flee the danger. Hence, Captain found her way to Marauder's Keep.
