Sasha Vasiliev was born in Fryst Skógur on January 9, 2014 to her parents, Abram and Lidiya Vasiliev. Her family has Icelandic roots, and her "Húsið" or house, was of royal descent. They were the viking family of Fryst Skógur, known to be ruthless and cold. However, Sasha was forgiving, always receiving lectures from her father.

All members of the Vasiliev family received their own þræll as their servant. Mordur was assigned to Sasha, but she didn't treat him much like a servant. Instead, she befriended him, not agreeing with the harsh ways of her father's pack. It didn't feel right to constantly demote her new friend, and the two got along quite well. They became almost like siblings, and Sasha could never bring herself to scold him.

Despite this, she continued to have Mordur work underneath her, in fear of being caught by her father. She knew that her þræll craved freedom, but he was also tentative. He would sometimes stand up to her, though he didn't always mean it. Sasha's father gave him a large scar down his flank, telling him that he should behave for his daughter.

Sasha and Mordur's informalities were soon discovered by her father, who swore to kill Mordur. Sasha was unable to see this happen, so she offered herself up instead, taking the blame. Unable to kill his own daughter, he banished the two instead. Sasha now travels alongside with Mordur, still considering him her þræll.
