Profile of Pepper: Details
Appearance

A lithe creature with a pelt of sand and ginger tones. Errant black hairs pepper across her shoulders while an array of dark flecks freckle her cheeks, and a warm red-brown spanning across her ribcage, interrupted in fits and starts with a ruddy agouti pattern. She has striking hazel-green eyes which stand out against the carmine of her coat, which are especially eye-catching due to the auburn 'hooks' that mark the sides of her orbital bones. There is cream upon her throat and intermittently throughout the fur of her belly, armpits, and hips, which bleach her extremities somewhat. Overall Pepper is quite fetching - and if it weren't for her excessive height and general disproportion, she might look like a woman one day.
Personality

You could call her arrogant, but really she just knows her shit. She knows that she knows, too, so there's a certain level of confidence in her that can be off-putting for some people. She isn't afraid of a challenge, and does her best to get her tasks completed, whatever they may be. Pepper is incredibly goal-oriented, and believes in the power of a well structured environment. A part of her will always feel out-of-place when confronted with superior beings, whether they are higher in rank or more attuned to their power; she's very much a girl-next-door, but the kind that worked hard to get where she's at. She's so focused on getting her job done that Pepper isn't so interested in socializing, but she tries to leave room for it. As a very tactile being she has had a few relationships in the past, but when they end she chooses to forget about them in their entirety.
Biography

Pepper's parents were good friends with Hogan's, so it made sense that they'd be raised together. They were friends when they were very young, but as soon as the kids hit one year of age, things began to change. Pepper discovered a love of learning that Hogan just did not have, so she focused on her trades and her studies. Eventually Hogan took notice of his friend's absence and began to tease her for it, and this became a game between the two of them. He would constantly hit on Pepper, and in turn Pepper would rebuke him - so on, and so forth, and life was good.

One day, Hogan returned home from a scouting trip, and he wasn't alone. Spreading the tale of the heroic rescue he had carried out for the lone stranger - later known to Pepper as Stark - the two boys hit it off, and the game between Hogan and Pepper was thusly paused. She missed the attention from her friend, although she'd never have admitted it, and became jealous of the new arrival as well. Her dislike of Stark began innocently enough. The more the boys spent time together though, the more Hogan acted like the newcomer - taking up a nickname (Happy), becoming more forward with his come-ons, even showering other girls with the attention that Pepper coveted. When Stark eventually decided to take his leave of the pack Pepper was pleased, because she thought the world would return to some state of normalcy.

It didn't.

In fact, Happy couldn't stop thinking about Stark, or talking about him, and his behavior worked its way under Pepper's skin, little by little. One morning she discovered her friend's den to be empty, and upon tracking down Happy's parents, she learned that he had left the pack to see the world - and to Pepper that meant, leave her behind, and, find Stark. She lamented her loss in private. Eventually, having learned all she felt she could from her own parents and the pack, she decided to go off into the big wide world and track down Happy - maybe even bring him back home - and so she too departed.

Thus, young Pepper embarked on a journey of her own, and did not look back. It took a few weeks, but eventually she discovered the friendly face of Stark again (not that she was all that pleased with it), and decided to settle at Marauder's Keep to wait out the return of Happy. If he was hunting for Stark, the easiest way to find Happy was to keep a close watch on the fool of a man herself. Not long after reuniting with Stark, however, Pepper felt a great pull from the world outside. She worried that she'd settled too soon, and decided to take one last trip around the area in search of Happy, fully intending to return to Stark and resume her duties.

When she didn't return, people started to wonder.
