Being something of a vain creature, Starbelly's pelt of crushed, black velvet is coifed and gussied constantly, as grooming herself and others is a great pastime of hers. Despite the obsidian coat, a downy layer of grey furs highlight and evince the curves of her shoulders, torso, hips and tail giving her a slightly plump appearance. Starbelly has the voluptuous body to match her colorful personality and she stands tall, with her shoulders thrown back and her chest thrust out slightly. Indie was s a theatric vaudevillian who considers the world her stage. Indie craves the limelight as she craves oxygen and the woman truly shines when she is able to share her creativity with others. Indie is talented in the arts of theater, song and dance, having been raised with a ragtag troupe of mummer, circus freaks and other creatures of the night. With such well honed humanistic talents, it's only natural that Indie is also a fierce competitor - though Indie will often opt to use her duplicitous tendencies to do her dirty work [rather than tooth and nail], maneuvering and puppeting those around her with ease.
Starbelly has been described as intelligent, nimble, sensuous... and somewhat pompous about it. Vociferous to her core, Indie is easy to incite into anger and excitement [with capricious and potentially murderous tendencies]. Her strong emotions are ofter characterized by dramatic, sweep movements and vivid, vocalized imagery. Think 'film noir.' Starbelly finds it easy to garner allies and accomplices through her charisma and charm, though these relationships are not often without a certain sense of artifice. Starbelly understands how to care and love others, but she is much too preoccupied with herself to act on these urges. Boldly independent and self-sufficient, Starbelly chicanery is not used to serve evil but to further the agendas of herself and those close to her.

Royal blood runs through Indie's veins - though she will never know this. As a young pup, she was kidnapped from her parents [the alphas] of the pack and she was never to see them again. The group that picked her up was a ragtag group of mummers and harlequins, who used spectacle to get whatever the want.
The Merry-Andrews Gang was a pastiche group of crooks, oddities, mummers, circus-freaks, societal rejects, bards and beauties who simply found themselves enamored with the idea of a consequence-less existence. Ribald, jovial thrill-seekers, they operated more from a place of hedonism than evil. None of these wolves were blood relatives of each other; they were simply a band of jesters and mummers who found each other and became bound deeply by their abhorrence of the mundane. They were vivacious and oftentimes larger than life, seeking an existence that challenges the status-quo (just for the fun of it). Unafraid, scrappy, unrefined and considered outlaws by some, the gang was vagrant and constantly moved around. Here, Indie learned to sneak and spy, bluff and deceive and she truly enjoyed her years with the traveling band of fools.
Indie became romantically involved with her mentor and tutor, Donovan. The two become distracted from their work, resulting in the death of the Merry-Andrew's leader, Donovan's father. Not soon afterwards Indie departed from the gang, unable to bear the guilt.
