Flaris II is a painted forgery of her father — her appearance dissonant only in the places where she has inherited the shapely lines of genetic effeminacy — and she was named for the mystifying resemblance. She is colored compelling and earthly; touching the senses like an emollient deity risen from the retiring smolders of a driftwood pyre. In all things she is patient; her lambent ruby eyes coiled deep and reflecting compassionately; her expressions finespun. She can be dancing and wicked, however, her genteel carriage often obscuring the cold truth that she is a self-proclaimed sibyl: carnal, selfish, and driven entirely by ambition.
