Heterochromic blue and pink eyes show off the boy's reason for being as white as snow; he is tainted with albinism, and though areas of darker and lighter skin suggest that this isn't the entirety of his makeup, he is born of white furred parents, and so any natural coloration that shows through his mutated pelt blends seamlessly as if he were in fact entirely an albino. He suffers from it, of course, with eyes that squint to see clearly and skin that burns so quickly under the sun's light. For these reasons, he sticks to areas with high cover, and where it snows often enough that he can more easily fend for himself amidst the white cover.
Besides being alabaster white all over, with brownish-pink skin, he is also a leggy, narrow creature, with long, shaggy fur where normally it might appear thick and poofy on a purebred. His tail also lacks that wolfish fluff, longer and whip-like with feathery fur instead. A deep chest and angled face, with large ears, all bring him together to be an agile and light-footed canine, built for speed and agility. His body is riddled with visible scars, serving to explain his departure from his homelands; in search for better, so that he might avoid adding more to his skin.

Personality
Naturally, he is a confident and proud sort, the kind that walks with their head held high, because there's no question to their right to do so. And yet, Matteo carries himself as if he were opposite, physically appearing submissive and timid. This is his demeanor, the thing you notice first about his behavior.
Upon close inspection, or better familiarity, he is indeed an outspoken and friendly individual, with a good heart and a sound head on his shoulders. He hides big dreams and lofty goals under a timid and flighty disposition.
He has patience and a good sense of humor, though, and despite many insecurities and a past riddled with deep-seeded regrets, he still manages to adhere to an optimistic outlook on life in general.

Biography
Off-Board History
December 21st, 2016 -- Born alongside one brother, to a coywolf mother and wolf father. He is immediately branded the runt, though his parents do their best by him.
January - August, 2016 -- Growing up, he is often bullied by his twin, Guiseppe, who bears only spots of white across his otherwise earthy brown coat. The family becomes nomadic in search of a territory with better cover, for Matteo's sake. This doesn't help the bullying problem, as Guiseppe's jealousy continues to build.
August 26th, 2016 -- After a disruption between the brothers results in another failed hunt, tensions finally come to a head. Guiseppe is scolded and lashes out at Matteo, believing it unfair that Teo misses out on half as much the scoldings that Guiseppe gets, and not understanding that it is consequence to his own misbehavior. Matteo and Guiseppe fight it out, until accidentally, Matteo fatally wounds his brother, a bite too hard to the throat breaking his tracea.
August 27th, 2016 -- Regret and overflowing tension after the loss of Guiseppe breaks the whole family apart the next morning. Matteo's parents turn on each other first, then that mate bond turns those angry emotions on Matteo as the pair make amends in blaming their remaining son for Guiseppe's death. Matteo is ousted from the pack, violently. Badly wounded and still in shock, he wanders aimlessly away from his parents, who head back towards their original territory at the same time.
September - December, 2016 -- Matteo wanders alone for some time, getting by on rabbits and carrion. He suffers for this early expulsion from his pack, malnourishment stunting his growth. He manages, just barely, to survive on his own, perhaps by making use of those subtle coyote instincts to get by.
January - November, 2017 -- Having gotten the hang of his solo life, Matteo manages well on his own, and travels constantly between hunting grounds. He continues to survive off of others' kills and small game, but has figured out fishing, which helps him during the warmer months to build himself back into something resembling good health again. His scars and wounds have healed on the outside, but he retains a shadowy regret even now, and longs to make up for his past somehow, if only he could find a way.
