In the spring of 2017, East left Trigeda with his parents and joined Sangeda, another pack in the coalition lead by his aunt and uncle. He continued to hone his fighting skills while there, hoping to one day become a great warrior.

At the end of the summer, it was brought to his family's attention that a pack had settled where Maungeda had once been. East was eager to help out, so he offered himself as aid in the fight to reclaim the territory.

While in battle, his mother misjudged an enemies intention and it lead to his father being murdered before his eyes. In a rage, he made his first kill to avenge his father. His second kill occurred during that same battle. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to reclaim the mountain. Angry with his mother for his father's death, he didn't follow her when she set out for Drageda. Instead, he remained behind to tend to the wounded Trigeda had taken in. Soon, East began to feel lost, so and even though he was still angry with his mother, he decided to seek her out and join her in Drageda.

He departed Sangeda and made the journey to Drageda.
