Appearance
The word "hag" used to denote a capacity for holiness due to its connection to age and wisdom. The "old crone" has a similar spiritual connection — that of a woman who has passed beyond the childish years and survived the toils of motherhood, coming to the other side of a long tunnel, where they have all the knowledge and power of a life well lived. The assumption that a wise woman such as this would have to be feeble is well supported, but untrue in this particular case; she may have been stronger in mind than in body while young, but even in her prime Phyllis was a sight. Age only began to slow her down around her seventh year, and from there the degradation was minimal. She still runs with a powerful stride, she still moves with the practiced grace of her mighty bloodline. A little slower, perhaps, but not always. She's always been small, but has gradually taken on a serpentine aspect which is brought out when you see her true face. Otherwise, Phyllis is like a coiled cobra, waiting to rise up and blindside you.

Personality

Rotten — but capable of hiding behind one mask or another. Her body might be nearing some sort of limit, but her ambition certainly hasn't waned through the years. She is intelligent enough to know her limits and plays well within them, preferring to manipulate individuals with younger bodies and fragile minds to meet her ends. Certainly a fickle creature - she played the role of ice queen well enough in her youth but has reached the point in her life where nothing really matters, and so she is truly free to play with those she meets. Once, you might've referred to her as vindictive; she would go out of her way to cause pain in those that wronged her, filled with a righteous fury and a high level of self interest. Time only changes so much. She's just as spiteful as she's always been, but more specific in her attacks, relying on subtlety and suggestion rather than blatant confrontation. She's a whisper in the dark - the angel on your shoulder, if you'll let her.
