Chai was born into a large pack alongside her litter mates. Watched over by her two older brothers, she flourished. Though very much loving, her parents...especially her father, Matcha, made set his expectations quite low for her. She was always viewed as nothing special or unique, and routinely reminded that she would never amount to anything great. Saddened but resolved, Chai accepted this as her fate.

Come late Fall of her first year, it was time for her and her age mates rite of passage. To set off out on their own, to survive and start lives of their own. Chai dispersed with her sisters and brother, but ultimately lost their trail.
