Jazira is not the sun, but rather, she is the heat of the sands that sun crowds down upon. She is the sort of heat that slumbers in one's bones; the kind of heat that you seek solace from.
She hails from the east, beyond the Wilds, where her nomadic cadre believed that the coast is nothing but myth and the dunes were endless. When Jazira grew restless and old enough to carve her own path, she simply let the stars and sand-stories guide her west.
