With markings resembling those of the bateleur eagle for which she is named, her coloring is mostly black, with a blanket of fiery reddish-gold running from the nape of her neck over her shoulders and down her back. The front edge of her shoulders are russet brown. Her front paws are snowy white, with the white coloring continuing up the backside of her front legs and ending at her elbows. Her eyes are a brilliant shade of chartreuse. She is on the larger side of medium, weighing approximately 60 pounds, with a slimmer build better suited to speed and distance over brute strength.
