At eight months of age, Trench has grown considerably from the frail pup that he had been before. In spite of the illness that had wreaked havoc in his developmental stages, the lean shadow has found strength and an enduring resolve. Tall and lean in his shape, Trench is a stilted umbra with eyes that glimmer like a Caribbean ocean; closer inspection reveals flecks of vibrant silver interspersed in the beryl pools. The dark hair along his neck and back stands wildly, like a form of bedhead that cannot be tamed. Flecks of silver and whiskey adorn Trench's shoulders and hackles - the only break in the darker color of his body.
