Athena has never had an extensive knowledge of her upbringing. She remembers snapshots of her mother, nursing her and her brother when they were pups. Then things seem to go blank. Still, she doesn't remember quite what happened to her mother. Maybe she was too young when it happened or it was something she wouldn't want to remember. She remembers trying to survive with her brother, him saving her from a bear attack and losing the battle to save himself. Then she remembers running, just running to find another home. With time, she hopes she can continue to recover memories from her past but for now she cherishes these snapshots, especially the warm memories of her mother's nuzzles.
