A lithe form with long legs, athletically toned muscles, and lean figure; he is made for long distance travel for up to days at a time. His dark coat often blends well with the shadows that he lurks, with an intense crimson gaze that glares from beneath scowling brows.

Appearance
Dark charcoal, rusty red, and dull white cover the spiked fur of this grim male. Easily blending with the shadows he takes his name after, a mysterious and dark air almost always looms about the red-eyed brooder.

After an injury to his head as a yearling, Shad's memory was erased from then on. Never able to remember his family, past, or anything besides his name; Shad often broods over his empty knowledge, feeling as if he only knows half of who he is. This injury has also left him with a rather short-term memory, meaning he will forget names and mix up information on the regular. It didn't help his cold and closed off ways when Shad fell in love with a beautiful female by the name of Marie, only to lose her that winter due to a fatal sickness. The dark male blamed himself for not being able to heal the only creature that had ever cared for him, since he lacks any skill in herbal medicines and treatment. Shad is slow to trust or show any warmth towards anyone after that, more likely to offer a snarky retort or cold shoulder.
Though he isn't one to show kindness, Shad can be helpful and trustworthy to the innocent and needy. Before her death, Shad had sworn to Marie that he would help all those whom were troubled in any way, continuing her dream as the only way he could keep her alive and with him. While usually reluctant - and far from pleasant - he will offer a helping hand to anyone in need of it, be it a good or evil task. Being a true neutral, Shad's morals may follow any alignment if motivated either way, making him both black hearted evil and brave hearted hero.
Blunt, mildly aggressive, arrogant, and reckless; Shad will tell it to you straight without any shame for his less-than-kind words. This often gets him into brawls and skirmishes, in which he won't hesitate to jump into no matter the size nor skill of his opponent. Believing it's "nothing he couldn't handle." While he is lethal in combat, his high pain tolerance can make it easy for him to go oblivious about any injuries and wounds, making him prone to over estimate himself.
Shad will likely dislike many other characters, as he has a general hate for humanity, but his feelings IC do not align with my own OOC. Chances are, I will love and adore your characters.

Howdy! I go by Dodge or Burn OOC, I'm 15 in the GMT-6 time zone, and I've been roleplaying for about two years now.
