Appearance
Breeding and pedigree has made him large, while training and harsh life in the desert has kept him lean and his coat short. Though he's a mix of bloodlines, Hyacinth has managed to stay on the far end of the scale in terms of build. He's comprised of lean muscle, and very unremarkable in terms of structure, length, and the like. He's essentially what one would envision when they hear the word "wolf", on the healthy side. Perhaps with shorter hair though. It has been a long time since he's needed to grow in a winter coat, but being so far from the desert he once called home has added some thickness to his undercoat, giving him some added inches of puffiness around all but his face and legs where the hair is naturally shorter. In color he obeys the classic timber patterns, minus any signs of gray or black. Browns and oaky colors are offset by cream and white in all the usual places. His hazel colored eyes (a bleed of yellow to forest green) and brown nose make him look like a real child of the forest.
Personality
Hyacinth is many things, but on the surface he's quite rigid and boring. Having come from a somewhat militaristic background he approaches his job and all tasks with utmost sincerity. There is no time to play when you have work to do! His expressions are normally drawn into hard lines and his star can be piercing, but of course he is merely fulfilling his roles.
On a personal level, when he's not working, Hyacinth is a bit more subdued and quite vulnerable. Honestly it seems half the time like he's not sure how to do anything but work and appears almost out of place in social gatherings. Even so he's no stranger to parties, as his old home and their sister-pack would often spend nights regaling old triumphs and drinking fermented fruit until the wee hours of dawn. So he certainly knows how to party, he's just painfully awkward about it.
Deep down he holds an enormous amount of self doubt and questions. Should he have left his home? Should he have left Firestorm? Should he have found Janine? So many questions and no answers to be found leaves him brooding and wondering and gazing at the stars.
Nevertheless, Hyacinth wants to be a man worthy of the stories from his home, and his indomitable spirit will not allow him to give up or back down from any challenge. He's brave if nothing else, and loyal when it's earned although he's now learned to question authority at times rather than blindly follow and just hope things improve. He's more willing to step up when needed, and less tolerant of failure in others.

Biography
Born far away on Spire Mountain, Hyacinth was the latest generation of a long line of Kytan wolves. His family had lived on the mountains for years upon years though it had not always been peaceful. He was born after a period of warfare when things were relatively normal and him and his siblings enjoyed a simpler life. However, being young and starry-eyed, Hyacinth often looked at the world around them with curiosity. When he was about a year old he asked his father if any wolves had ever left the pack, to which his father answered yes, and that leaving a pack was normal and nothing to be ashamed of. This gave Hyacinth the courage to say goodbye and start his own journey.
His travels were long, but he met a female named Vulture who told him about a new land where she was headed that was filled with great wonders! Enticed, Hyacinth eventually made the journey there as well where they reunited. While better acquainting himself with the area, he came to a large desert at the heart of the land and there met the Alpha female of a resident pack. Her name was Vela, and after assessing him she decided to accept him into her pack. Hyacinth found he missed pack life and longed to prove himself capable. However, the pack was quite small, with very few of the members ever really coming together. It was completely different from his old home of close community and family. Still, he did his best to patrol and mind the borders and help Vela whenever she needed.
As years went by he felt he knew his Alpha less and less. She'd come home wounded but never explain why or how, and the numbers began dwindling until one day she'd been gone for so long that the lands became open for claim and vulnerable. Though many of the wolves in the pack wanted to search for Vela, Hyacinth made a stand that she'd not been a good leader to begin with, and that he'd rather follow their Beta if she were to lead.
Unfortunately, the pack never re-formed, and following a series of natural disasters plaguing the land, Hyacinth decided it was wise to leave the place before more disaster struck. He could find nobody to say goodbye to, so with a heavy sadness he left to find a new home and a new purpose.
