Profile of Corvo: Details
Appearance
Corvo stands at an average build for a male wolf. He is slightly underweight since he is a loner hunting without a pack, but he is relatively healthy considering. His fur is thick and dark in hue, appearing brownish black. His eyes are a sharp golden color, often seen before his dark pelt, which blends into the darkness of the night.

Height: 35in (at the shoulder)
Weight: 140lbs
Personality
Sullen - Grouchy. Hateful. Rude. These words have all been used to describe Corvo and it hasn’t hurt his feelings yet. He doesn’t have to work hard to put on an icy exterior, and if he’s of the mind to greet someone - which doesn’t often happen - it’s often with a curt grunt or a dismissive snort. He has never been good at small-talk or chit-chat and he doesn’t care to learn. Conversations with Corvo are best kept direct and to the point.

Loner - Corvo does his best work alone. This way he can always count on someone he knows will never betray him - himself. He has never played well with others, even as a pup, and certainly now that he is an adult he often finds it difficult to get along with other wolves. So he feels most comfortable when he is spending time by himself.

Reserved - Unsurprisingly, given his knack for an antagonistic attitude, Corvo prefers to keep the details about himself to himself. He doesn’t often freely offer up information, and when he does it is most likely in a moment of confusion. It is simply in his nature to keep his thoughts to himself, believing either no one is interested or that he cannot trust them.

Cautious - Corvo hasn’t made it this long on his own without remaining cautious. He does not enter into situations headlong and he does not make brash decisions. He prefers to hang back and assess the prospects if at all possible before making a move.

Shrewd - From a young age, it was clear that Corvo was a sharp pup, oftentimes outthinking others his age without prompting or training. Though he doesn’t find much pride in his intelligence, his quick thinking has gotten him out of not a few close encounters with danger.

Lonely - Deep down, though he would never admit it aloud, Corvo is lonely. He’s been wandering by himself for a long while now, passing up many opportunities to join others of his kind. He hasn’t been convinced to settle down so far and he doesn’t expect to be any time soon. Though this lifestyle is Corvo's by choice and admittedly he does not easily get along with others of his kind, he does wonder if in some other life he might have enjoyed the company of other wolves.

Biography
Born to a lone female, Corvo was one of two pups to survive that fateful harsh snowy spring night. His mother, Pasha, was once a quiet, valued member of pack society, only to be shunned when she fell pregnant to a rogue male who captured her heart with a simple glance. She’d loved him, despite knowing what that love could cost her.

Originally, Pasha birthed three pups, but one, a female, did not make it, and that left Corvo and his brother Cian to face the world.

Despite the harsh reality of loner life, Corvo and Cian survived, growing to be healthy enough pups. Their mother, on the other hand, never quite recovered from the disgrace she’d suffered with her pack. She put on a brave face, smiling for her boys even as she described longingly what her past had been like, but as Corvo grew older he began to see through the sad smile.

While Corvo was more intuitive, easily sensing others’ emotions, his brother Cian was quite the opposite, often too wrapped up in his own desires to notice much about anyone else.

And so it would be, Cian leading the way and Corvo following silently behind to help his brother when he inevitably got himself into trouble. This began as simple fun, but as the two pups grew to be juveniles, Cian’s troublemaking became more and more worrisome. Pasha did her best to warn her son, but Cian never listened. Besides, Corvo was always there to pick up the pieces.
One day, Cian’s luck finally ran out.

While out hunting, the trio crossed paths with another group of wolves. Somewhere along the way harsh words were exchanged, Cian puffed out his chest and proclaimed his prowess, and a fight ensued. Unwilling to stand aside while his brother took a beating, Corvo intervened, only to get the brunt of the attack while Cian ran away with his tail tucked between his legs. Pasha moved to defend her son and it would mean her death in the end.

Broken, bloody, and barely clinging to consciousness, Corvo watched as a stranger locked jaws around his mother’s neck, the life seeping from her even as darkness fell around him.

When he woke, Corvo found himself alone and his mother’s lifeless form covered in a fresh layer of snow. His cowardly brother was nowhere to be seen.

Having mourned the loss of his mother, Corvo started walking and he did not stop for weeks, on the hunt for his brother. Eventually he found himself in the Teekon Wilds, where he lingered but with no intention of staying for good. He’s all but given up on the hope of ever finding Cian, and honestly Corvo hopes he’s dead.
