Looking about as soft and unassuming as a light snowfall on a meadow, Kin doesn't do much to disprove that upon a first encounter. Deferential and maybe a little twee, he's at his most comfortable when there's no conflict, or when he can find a way to diffuse any that's brewing. At most times he's all wagging tail and prancing.

Appearance
Although he has a somewhat slender build, due in part to his Eastern Wolf parentage, Kinnaird makes up for it with thick, light-colored fur. A few light, tan freckles color his cheeks, and a tannish marking paints its way down his head and spine, dipping low over his shoulders and hips, covering his forelegs almost entirely. Darker, brown markings cover the front of his forelegs, and seems to trace his spine more narrowly. Light flecks of his undercoat are more clearly seen along the back of his head and shoulders, giving the fur there a more peppered appearance.

Personality
Kin loves, loves, loves being around others. It excites him, makes him stupidly happy, and is also the single greatest source of anxiety for him! Avoiding conflict is the name of the game, and that doesn't always go well for him - and even causes more conflict than it avoids, sometimes! He's the type to take the jobs in a group project no one else wanted, because hey guys, they've gotta get done right :)
But he craves validation, and even if he won't go out of his way to get it (because conflict!), he'll dang sure pin all his hopes on getting it.
He's loyal, probably unsurprisingly so, and has been known to end up kind of ride or die for those who might not really feel the same about him.

Biography
He was a bungled customs seizure, a "wild" pet from Canada that got waylaid on his journey to a wolf sanctuary somewhere in Colorado. Bred from two wolves that wanted little to do with each other beyond the small sense of familiarity that came with their own kind, he was scooped up as a pup (along with the rest of his litter) and sold off once they were old enough, to people who thought a wolf as a pet sounded pretty neat.
There's no fancy tracking collar marking him as previously in contact with humans, and there's no dog blood in his veins that makes him act just a little bit off from a wild-born wolf. But he's doing his best, and it isn't like he has anyone else to turn to but himself, after all!
