Jackie II was born from a union between a now-despised drifter and a young, impressionable Cedar who found the stranger too intriguing to resist. Having been betrothed, however, her pregnancy posed quite a problem when it was discovered that she had conceived before being married. Cedar gave birth to the one child, and allowed to remain only long enough to nurse him. As soon as Jackie II could eat regurgitated meat, he was stripped from Cedar's side, and she was chased from the pack. His father, Jackalope, was nowhere to be found- he'd caught wind of the drama and had drifted off as quiet as smoke.

Jackie II was raised by his aging, reluctant grandparents who had expected for Cedar to be their last ward, and begrudged him for ruining their retirement. Too tired to see to him properly and incapable of keeping up with the energetic boy, Jackie's grandparents left his behavior unchecked. He was bullied relentlessly by the other youths his age due to the circumstances of his conception, and developed a poor attitude. Tired of the cruelty and neglect, Jackie II chewed off the majority of his own tail out of contempt for the man who had created him, and left it behind.

He wasn't missed when he ran away, and took his sour attitude with him.
