stark was once the proud prince regent of his homeland of evenspire, the sword to his sister's wisdom and strength. he’d always been the envious shadow beside her, silent but vigilant, a figure of quiet power willing to do whatever it took to protect his family. yet that family was cruelly snuffed out by betrayal—the very wolves who had sworn loyalty to morwenna, led by the man who’d vowed to cherish her. stark witnessed the insidious coup unraveling, powerless to intervene as traitors closed in, ripping apart everything they had built.
when the dust finally settled, stark found himself buried in rage and grief. he hunted morwenna’s treacherous husband through the wilderness, each step fueled by the agonizing loss of his nieces and nephews. he became a specter of vengeance, tracking the man with a cold, calculated patience until he finally confronted him. there, stark's fury was unleashed, and with a silent, brutal finality, he ended the man who had brought ruin to his family.
he returned to evenspire that day forged into something colder, hungrier for power—if only to ensure no one would ever have the strength to hurt those he still cared for. he returned only to find his sister's kingdom in ruin, blood staining the glorious realm his family had once ruled. he returned to find morwenna disappeared, and before he could ascend the throne—the throne he had always been meant for—he too... disappeared.

when strength returned to his limbs, stark served as emissary to the forneskja chieftain, his paws treading paths from neverwinter forest to the sunspire peaks, and finally into the cold hush of the taiga. there, violence marred his name—a woman left bruised and bearing his children.
it was not long after he crossed paths with gjalla, his sister’s old friend, and learned that morwenna lived still, bound as wife to the saatsine chieftain. drawn to her, he sought her out. their reunion ended in ruin—sun eater, the chieftain, struck him down but let him live. a mercy, bitter.
