At dawn, she is cloaked in the blood of beasts, a vessel for ancient rites; by dusk, she is radiant, as soft and untroubled as an eight-day-old lamb. She moves with an uncanny fluidity, twisting and coiling like a serpent, as if untouched by the constraints of logic.
