She is the youngest child of Tayanita Kigon-Bourassa and Elias Morin , and niece to Mika Cardinal , René Lapin-Tuille , and Averie Lisette . Her extended family dominates areas of Northern Quèbec and extends further north in to Labrador.

As she grew, Séverine became fascinated with the wider world beyond Red-River and the stories of distant packs carried by traveling wolves. Eager to test her skills and learn from others, she left her home territory with her mother’s blessing, seeking experience, adventure, and the opportunity to grow into a capable leader. Despite leaving, she remains deeply connected to her natal pack, carrying the lessons of her family’s history, the cleverness of her mother, and the industrious spirit of her ancestors wherever she travels.
