Manauia's birth family is of no importance to her and thus no place here. Her mother, sister, and queen is Queen Quetzalcoatl and to her she owes all of the loyalty and love that a normal birth family would have been attributed.

While all among the Amazons are considered sisters, Manuaia's closest associates are those who belong in her Garrison, the prince's own guard. Their Commander is Amoxtli though she is the youngest of them. The rest are her equal, Citlali (practiced in medicinal arts), Eztli (Priestess to the gods), and Nochtli (of the silver tongue, diplomat and scout for the group).

Their charge is Prince Tezcacoatl, favored son of their beloved Queen. It is only because he is cherished by her that Manauia would give her life to protect him despite his male gender.
