The trees are filled with memories - Dakini - February 14, 2018

@Tokie backdated to Feb 11

She watched the wolf leave, and she sat down and started thinking. She hadn't felt that fondness but for one creature. A bittersweet smile settled on her face as she thought of her older brother. He was the only one who had even tolerated her at home besides her mother. As she got lost in thought, the sun set, throwing  deep pinks and purples across the sky.

Tokala once more was out on her ventures. Where else would she go this time? Perhaps she would find some more males to attempt to bring towards her, to nestle them close to her with a false sense of security. Or just talk with a casual conversation...no, that was not her way.

She eventually found a female, and she stopped. Tokala crept along, keeping her gaze on them as she did with curiosity in her eyes as she watched them.

A scent crossed her nose, breaking the girl out of her daze. Getting up and shaking herself, her sharp eyes looked around as her tail swished slowly. ¿Holá? Is anyone there?

Tokala smiled slyly to herself as she went along, slinking about. She made a whistle in their direction, before trying to stealthily dart across, using the coming darkness to her advantage. She intended to sneak up on them, have a bit of fun. Her tail wagged behind her as well. She loved to have such fun as she whistled again.

She heard the whistle, her ears pivoting on her head. Then she heard it again. Her eyes lit up in the darkening sky, and a grin appeared on her face, a touch of wariness yet curiosity on it. So this one was playing a game. Her siblings had done this, only they didn't whistle. They just ran. Her voice was low. I know you're here. Looks like you want to play. Making a high squealing whistle, she slunk across the land, keeping her eyes sharp.

Tokie giggled upon hearing them whistle back. She loved it when they played games back with her. She was sure to step loudly here and there, purposely stepping on a crinkly leaf. "Yooooo hooo" she chirped back quietly, and excitedly. "Over here" she said, now she was ready for a pounce, once the other wolf would find her.

Her ears swiveled again as she heard the call. The sun almost gone, her eyes adjusted easily. Her light giggles bubbled from her throat. Pinpointing the location, she bounded over the land and pounced, hoping she wasn't getting herself into trouble she couldn't handle.

Tokala readied to pounce, though it seemed her plan had gone a little sideways as the other came launching at her. She perked up, a mistake as the other caught her down. She yelped out, then after a moment of stunned silence, she exploded into laughter. That had not been expected, and she was glad to have a bit of fun.

As she came down upon her 'prey', the mix was surprised as she saw that it was a wolf. Her eyes went wide for a moment as the other froze in silence. Yet as the other laughed, her giggles escaped, and with a swish of her tail, she spoke. I got you. Her giggles turned into laughter as she bounded away, then went silent as she slunk around, wondering if the wolf would try to find her.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Tokie - February 15, 2018

Tokala laughed more at hearing that. That she did, she certainly had her. Had really caught her unawares. And now, it was Tokie's turn to go on the hunt this time. "I'm gonna find you" she called out to the other, and began slinking around to find the other. She sniffed at the ground in an attempt to catch their scent.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Dakini - February 15, 2018

Her high pitched whistle rang over the rolling land, and she skittered the opposite way, her ears swiveling around, listening for the wolfess. Her muscles were tense, as she tried to tap down her laughter. Letting out another high pitched whistle, she moved about six feet and plastered herself against the snow.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Tokie - February 15, 2018

Tokala heard the whistle. So it would be like this, would it? She laughed quietly to herself. Than an idea struck her. "Let's make things...interesting" and she did her best to hold back a snicker. "You answer questions while I try to find you. So let's start with...name." Of course, she would not head straight away to any voice, even if the question was answered. She wanted to prolong this game.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Dakini - February 15, 2018

Interesting, hmm? Her ears flicked as she heard the woman's question. She slipped low through the snow, answering her question with an answer and another question, her voice quiet across the darkness. Es Dakini. You?

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Tokie - February 15, 2018

Tokala shifted her attention towards the quiet voice. "Tokala" she answered back with a low quiet voice. Then she paused as she went about, no longer caring to use scent to find the other. She would test her other senses. "So...where are you from, Dakini?"

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Dakini - February 15, 2018

She raised her eyebrows at the name. Pretty. Swishing her tail, her eyes lit up as she answered, her small feet whispering over the icy whiteness. From the desert. You, Tokala? The name made her smile as it rolled off the tongue. Her soft laughter was cut short as she padded behind the wolfess.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Tokie - February 15, 2018

Tokala shrugged. She didn't think back to where she was from much. "From? Don't think on it much...Next question...are you having fun?" she asked, and she laughed. She heard the soft laughter barely, but couldn't narrow down from where. Nor did she catch the padding of paws behind.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Dakini - February 16, 2018

The girl quirked her eyebrow at the response, but her eyes were bright as she kept low to the earth. Her voice was low and full of mirth as she focused on the woman. Sí, sí. Definitely. You? Without waiting for a response, she giggled lightly as she brushed by her tail, skittering over the snow. Half hoping she would pounce, she also whipped her tail and ran faster, her giggles escaping.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Tokie - February 17, 2018

Tokala heard the response, and felt a brush by her tail. "I most definitely am" she said with a light giggle from herself. That marked now as the time, and she turned and attempted to make a pounce as the other ran.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Dakini - February 18, 2018

As she made her way over the snow, her flow of giggles couldn't be stopped as she turned her ears back. Her eyes went wide as she heard Tokala. Unsuccessfully, she tried to scamper out of the way, but squealed as the wolfess landed her pounce, tumbling her head over paws in the snow.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Tokie - February 18, 2018

Tokie landed against the other, only just then ended up rolling in the snow. She laughed like she was having a lot of fun, rolling over onto her back. "Woo! That was fun!" she wooped aloud. She glanced over at Dakini, smiling. "That was the most fun I have had in a long time." She laughed again as she started to stand up herself.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Dakini - February 19, 2018

As the wolfess yelled, the girl's eyes sparkled with mirth. It had been a lot of fun. She couldn't remember when the last time was. Her tail back and forth as she got up and shook herself, looking like a fluff ball for a moment before her fur settled down. I enjoyed that. Thank you, Tokala. Sitting down and wrapping her tail around her feet once again, she tilted her head and spoke, curiosity in her voice. What's next for you?

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Tokie - February 19, 2018

Tokala felt her tail continue to wag happily behind her. When was the last time she was happy like this? She could not really remember that. "No, thank you Dakini" she said back to the other wolf. She even smiled lightly towards the other. When asked what she would do next, she shrugged. Tokala didn't fully know.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Dakini - February 23, 2018

As the wolfess shrugged, she hesitated for only a moment before speaking again. Do you have a place to call your home? The wolfess had made a rare impression on her, and she would like to see her again. Cupping her long ears forward, her eyes were tinged with hope. She bit the inside of her lip. I enjoyed this. I would like some more of your company sometime. She smiled, her tail tapping on the ground.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Tokie - February 23, 2018

Tokie's ears fell a bit, she did not have a place. She tried to look sad, something to be pitied. She had to look like she needed a place to stay. "I do not...do you?" She guessed she must have if she were asking. She wondered if she had a group...and if there were any good looking males in it.

RE: The trees are filled with memories - Dakini - February 25, 2018

As the wolfess looked sad, she suddenly grew wary, yet her posture stayed friendly. The woman had changed emotions too quickly for her to feel comfortable enough to tell her about her newfound friends.

Smiling, she nodded her head, her eyes betraying her happiness. ¡Sí! I do! Yet sadly I do not know exactly where they are. She had a pretty good idea, but her instincts of protecting herself closed her off, letting her say no more about them.
