She's a wild one - Amalia - June 08, 2022 Amalia stepped near the Forest, green eyes going up and up to start at the boughs of the large trees, that stood side by side. Like soldiers all in a row. They were watching, waiting, but for what she wasn't sure. She felt small here, small yet alive. The sounds beneath the boughs perked her black tufted ears forward, while eyes of green traced the chattering creatures that swung upon and through it's branches. She didn't push far past the treeline, she could smell wolves here, and though she wasn't certain there was a pack. She also didn't wish to risk it. She had always known of boundaries but Cerne and Kigipigak had taught her more. So with gentle steps she circled around the area, her nose down to the ground. She wasn't certain if she just wished to explore today, or actually hunt. She should bring something back for Sahkmet, Akkuma and Kivaluk RE: She's a wild one - Void - June 08, 2022 Making sure not to step on pack territory, Void lurked around in the wilderness. He usually stuck to the mountains, but today he ventured down into the forest. While wandering, he spotted a shewolf, a young one too, about his age. She smelled of a pack though, so he kept his distance, barking into the space between them to announce his arrival. RE: She's a wild one - Amalia - June 08, 2022 A bark curled in the silence. Amalia turned to gaze at a large male, with yellow eyes. She tilted her head and turned to face him more fully, a gentle wag in her tail. Hello. How do you do? She didn't know this wolf, and she hoped like the others she'd met he would be kind. You have sunflower eyes.she offered a compliment. RE: She's a wild one - Void - June 08, 2022 Void noticed the wolves friendly ways, so he only held a neutral-dominant pose, not an aggressive one. He softened his expression though, and when she commented on his eyes, he softened them too. "Thank you, yours are wonderful too, as deep green as ivy or the leaves in the forest." He told the shewolf. "My names Void, whats yours?" He asked. RE: She's a wild one - Amalia - June 08, 2022 Amalia was wary around the stranger as he kept a semi-dominant stance, she wasn't entirely fond of that. So she kept one as well, studying him with searching gaze. She tweaked her ears forward as he spoke. Oh Thank you.She wagged her tail friendly. She tilted her head and shifted her weight. Nice to meet you, Void. I'm Amalia. She shifted. What fun things do you have planned today Void? RE: She's a wild one - Void - June 09, 2022 "nothing much. My buddy Rodyn and I usually just roam around. He's back at the den still though. Not many wolves I encounter are friendly, and the ones who are sometimes turn on me, so I apologize for my wariness and dominant stance, I just don't feel comfortable relaxing as the last time I did I nearly got my throat cut out." Void told the shewolf. "Are you a part of a pack or something?" Void asked, as he could smell the scent of many other wolves on her pelt. RE: She's a wild one - Amalia - June 09, 2022 Amalia's eyes softened a touch and she shifted. I"m sorry someone betrayed you that way. So far i've only met kind wolves, but I'm sure there's many that aren't.She settled to her haunches curling her tail around her paws. I am yes. Natigvik. My leadersare Kigipigak and Sahkmet. They are very kind. You may like them. She tilted her head. That is if you're looking for a pack. RE: She's a wild one - Void - June 09, 2022 "I've always been hesitant to join a pack, since I'm not good under leadership... I've been trying to find wolves to start my own pack with." Void told the shewolf. "But if they aren't the kind of wolves that will hold a strong leadership, trying to overly dominate other wolves, than maybe I could settle into pack life..." Void told the shewof. RE: She's a wild one - Amalia - June 09, 2022 Amalia made a soft hmm in her throat as she listened. Filing away his resistance. They aren't. Amalia gave him a kind smile. I've known a few who joined a pack for the social and protection and then left letter. She lifted a paw and set it back down. RE: She's a wild one - Void - June 09, 2022 Do you mind if Void flirts a little with Amalia? You can have her ignore him completely, but he def has a crush her. He finds her kindness cute lmao
Void thought about this. "Do you know if you could introduce me to them? I'd need a few days to think about it, and I'd have to talk to Rodyn, but you seem really nice, so I assume your pack would be too." Void told the shewolf. He felt his pelt getting hot and he started to recognize the feeling he was experiencing. Void shifted his paws, starting to feel awkward about how he was starting to feel. RE: She's a wild one - Amalia - June 09, 2022 No I don't mind. She may even flirt back a little. Not sure we will see. :) and if he wants an introduction after this i can start a thread today or tomorrow for that too :) Rodyn wouldn't mind if he liked a pack.
Amalia smiled her green eyes alight with kindness. Of course I will. They are visiting with some other wolves at the moment, but perhaps tomorrow I can introduce you? And thats a good plan to have. One should always endeavor to make sure the decisions they are making are good ones. Amalia moved closer still, to give this wolf a tentative sniff if he would allow, her tail sweeping behind her. They had introduced each other surely, but they weren't very close. Amalia liked to know those she was talking to scents, It made sense to her. RE: She's a wild one - Void - June 10, 2022 cool. Would Rodyn join the pack w/ him or just kinda stay a loner that hangs w/ Void sometimes?
Void nodded. "Tomorrow is fine for an introduction, I've got nowhere better to go." He told Amalia. Void allowed the shewolf to sniff him, and knew she would smell the pheromones he was currently releasing. Void sniffed her in return, and brushed his tail over her shoulder. "You really are a stunning wolf." He told her, his voice softening, and his posture growing more confident. RE: She's a wild one - Amalia - June 10, 2022 Rodyn is looking at moonspear cause he has a crush. But he would still often visit void.
She wagged her tail. A small yet triumphant smile on her face. It would be better to call Kigipigak to them than take Void to them. They had pups after all. Amalia blinked in surprise. She had scented him, but she hadnt realized at first. Now she did and she was unsure what to do. His tail against her, she blinked. Thank you.she took a step back to study and for a little breathing room. Though she wasn't being unkind. You aren't so bad yourself. What brought you here? Besides starting a pack that is? RE: She's a wild one - Void - June 10, 2022 alr
"I get bored of the mountains sometimes." Void told Amalia, awkwardly backing up and feeling extremely hot when she backed away from him. "You're an impressive wolf." Void huffed softly. Her muscular build, deep black pelt, and piercing green eyes reminded him a lot of himself, other than the eyes. His were yellow. "Your build is stunning. So is your pelt, its color is such a deep black, kind of like my own." Void added. RE: She's a wild one - Amalia - June 10, 2022 Amalia shared another smile, and shifted. She did bump his shoulder kindly, but settled to her rear, tail curled around her paws. Really? They're so pretty though and there's so much to see and do on them? I mean they're dangerous, so dangerous, but also sort of freeing. She wasn't sure how to put into words, what she meant. She had been raised in the forest she had liked the seashore, but the mountains they were their own beast, but amazing none the less. Amalia chuckled. The pelt is a family thing. Most of my father's family were all black with blue overtures, but.SHe waved her brown tipped tail. I got a little of my mom in there too. RE: She's a wild one - Void - June 11, 2022 "I think thats why I like them so much. I love risks and danger." Void told her. "Thats cool. I assume my pelts from genetics but I don't remember my parents really, only a lot of fighting, and hazy memories of my dad beating me, but I don't remember what he looked like..." Void trailed off. He had never opened up to someone about this before, not even Rodyn. RE: She's a wild one - Amalia - June 11, 2022 Amalia listened a small frown on her face. His life was not an easy one. I'm sorry you went through that. It isn't very fair. I hope you're careful on the mountains. Amalia didn't mind hearing about his family, but it was a sad history. She should share some of her own life, it was only fair, but she hadn't gone through anything as traumatizing as he. Sure her family had imploded and there had been blood shed in the end, but not before. My parents were kind. My father was very strict, but he was a good man. It doesn't seem right when parents don't treat you well. They were the ones that had you. Wasn't your choice to be born. RE: She's a wild one - Void - June 11, 2022 "I am careful." He assured Amalia Void nodded. "Where you born in a pack or a lone wolf?" He asked. Pack wolves parent's usually were kinder than loners from his experience. Maybe not in all cases, but when you have a pack to support you as a young pup, your childhood will end up better most likely. Void moved a little closer to her again, hoping she wouldn't flinch back as he tried to let their pelts touch. RE: She's a wild one - Kigipigak - June 11, 2022 The boys were with their mother, resting after the long journey in to the forest. Kigipigak was pleased with their progress; but he also wanted to investigate the woods a little bit, and to appreciate what his friends had begun to build here, so he left them to do a patrol of their land. When he came upon the familiar scent of Amalia, the sangilak picked up his pace to an eager jaunt. Before long he caught sight of her dark figure - but it looked somehow distorted; then, he realized she was not alone. Kigipigak was surprised at how close they were to one-another. As he approached he searched for the scent of Lote or Keyni, but it wasn't present. This stranger wasn't one of Winterglade, and he certainly didn't recognize them as one of Natigvik. The fur along his broad shoulders began to raise. As Kigipigak drew close, he carried himself with all the authority of an alpha (as he was one) and looked to Amalia wordlessly - was she in trouble here? RE: She's a wild one - Amalia - June 11, 2022 Amalia was about to answer his questions when a new and familiar scent washed over her. Though she wasn't in trouble, she had been going into unknown territory and much to kind for her own good at times. It was with slight relief she met kigipigak as he drew near. She dipped her head and averted her gaze as was customary. And spoke softly. Hello. Void this is Kigipigak; my alpha. Kigipigak, this is Void. She moved to stand near Kigipigak. The meeting now out of her paws. RE: She's a wild one - Void - June 11, 2022 Void dipped his head. "I was interested in joining your pack. I was hesitant at the idea at first, as I always had the hope of starting one of my own, but Amalia here told me about your pack, and I liked the idea of it. I'm a well-abled and strong wolf, and I can carry my own weight. I'd like to join your pack." Void told the alpha. Throughout the rest of his conversation with Amalia he had decided that he really liked her, and he wanted to be with her, so if joining her pack helped, he would do just that. "Amalia here seems like an incredible wolf and I really want to join to be with her." Void told the alpha, staying close to Amalia. RE: She's a wild one - Kigipigak - June 12, 2022 The stranger was first introduced by Amalia, then went on to explain himself without any prompting. Kigipigak was careful as he looked upon his amaguk and ascertained as she moved to stand alongside him, she was relieved with his arrival. The man called Void continued to talk; he said many things, and while he spoke Kigipigak looked him over. He was a large man with a dark coat, relatively good health, a healing wound across his leg. Kigipigak opened his mouth to say something but was cut off as Void mentioned his subordinate and the truth came out: —I really want to join to be with her.It was a strong statement to make before a woman one had just met, as well as speaking so openly before their alpha, thought the Sangilak. You look strong, I'll give you that.Kigipigak agreed, then he looked to the man's scabbed injury and his brow raised with silent appraisal. But my village is not a place to hunt for a wife. It is a place for my family to flourish; if a woman is what you seek then your hunt will take you elsewhere. He wondered how the shadow would take to that decision. Given that Void had admitted to wanting his own village one day, his own pack, his own family, then it would make Natigvik a bad choice. RE: She's a wild one - Amalia - June 12, 2022 Amalia was surprised at the bold statement, they had just met. She wasn't averse to getting to know the young wolf, but to already assume they were more than they were, well that was a little to forward. And she didn't like it. She tilted her head, and studied him closer now. I am not averse to friendship, but more than that is too bold as we have just met.She wasn't sure what to say other than that. She didn't wish to make this young male have a bad day, and she did like him, he seemed kind. However, she was not a prize to be won. Though perhaps she was just taking what he said wrongly, though it seemed Kigipigak felt it was too bold as well. RE: She's a wild one - Void - June 12, 2022 "I didn't mean it that way." Void added quickly. "I just meant that I thought her personality was cool. the other wolves I've met pretty much all wanted to kill me, other than one male wolf I'm currently hanging around with." Void explained. Sure, he did really like Amalia, but he wasn't going to straight up admit that as they were practically strangers. "But, I do definitely want a family of my own." Void added, after the alpha explained his pack was for his family. "Would it not be allowed for me to have my own mate and pups in your pack?" He asked. If it wasn't, he may not join, but he also might, and just leave when he was ready to start his own pack. RE: She's a wild one - Kigipigak - June 12, 2022 The man recanted what he'd said; perhaps it was something Kigipigak took too seriously, as he was protective of his small village and those who had proven loyal to his family. He did not visibly relax while Void spoke, but his mind softened a touch to the idea of having another hunter and protector among their number. Only, Kigipigak remained resolute on the nature of his village. He followed the law that was taught to him by his mother, who learned from generations of strong-willed Tartok wolves. This was knowledge he now imparted to Void. In following the traditions of my people, it is expected that our Issumatar—my wife, and our leader—is the only one with the right to continue her bloodline. That answered his question. As I said, if you are interested in finding a wife of your own, there are other places to look. We are not a place for match-making.Not until his sons were older and such a match was appropriate for them. Kigipigak was quiet a moment after that. He considered what this man could offer Natigvik as well as the threat he might pose, given time to live among them and learn their ways. Void was no child. He also held an injury, which spoke either to prowess as a hunter or recklessness of spirit, and Kigipigak was not sure if he was willing to have such a man near his children. If you are serious about finding a home with us, I would tell you to prove yourself first. This was not something he'd extended to Cerne, or to Amalia, but neither of these amaguk had made him cast any doubt the way Void did. Is this something you would be willing to do? |
