RE: we are all just stars that have people names - Skellige - June 13, 2016

The pearl of a woman was handling the water far better than her inky counterpart would have anticipated. He watched her movements with a curious glint in his gaze, following the churn of her limbs as she moved to place herself beside him. The water carried his pelt so that it touched gently to her own. The salt was sure to have been stinging her eyes, but she squinted at him and he watched her with an odd spark to his dark russet vision. There were no words to be shared underneath the waves… perhaps that was what he enjoyed so much about the depths of the ocean. Even in battle, the water could hush the sharpest of cries.

Just then, the silver-ribbed male caught movement from the side of his vision. Turning his skull abruptly in case of predators, he caught sight of a creature he had only been lucky enough to witness once in his life: a massive red jellyfish. It bobbed effortlessly through the depths. Skellige watched the figure, mesmerized by the tangle of limbs that hung below its bulbous body. Without warning, six more appeared from the dark water underneath them.

The inky titan looked to the pale woman, wondering what she could be thinking in this moment. It was not often that the creatures of the water were so welcoming to those of the land. His heart beat quickly and he found himself still captivated by the image of the jellyfish that was slowly moving in their direction.

RE: we are all just stars that have people names - Deirdre - June 13, 2016

she was not so great at this, but she must have met a certain standard to not feel any disapproval from the dark man she had now swam beside. her movements from there were incited by the sea, and she felt like the moon, suspended in this endless sky, and ahead, she saw stars--

did he see this?! her head turned to him, as he looked to her, affirming that what she witnessed was real. their tendrils swayed beneath their glowing bodies, but it was the bodies alone she looked to that burned red beneath the cool sea. they glowed, and throbbed, and deirdre marveled at them. it was magick, visible magick!, she felt she witnessed in this moment; her face was the perfect picture of awe, as she admired the beauty presented before her eyes.

RE: we are all just stars that have people names - Skellige - June 17, 2016

The jellyfish bobbed through the water with a strange sense of grace. It was evident that they belonged there; this was something that Skellige had always envied of the natural sea dwelling creatures. Though he had been born on the land, the dark wraith had always felt more at home under the depths of the ocean waters. On land, he was a brutal creature, comprised of thick limbs and a towering frame. In the water, though, the beast took on a different form; he was graceful and still terrifying in a sense that he knew the sea better than most of his kind. As the man turned to look at his companion’s awestruck face, he wished that he could have shown her the islands of his birth. The blue waters were beautiful to gaze at, even if you were not fond of the salt.

Glancing back and forth between the pale girl and the glowing red jellyfish, Skellige began to feel his lungs thirst for air once more. Realizing that they had spent some substantial time in the ocean, he motioned for the girl to follow him once more to the surface. Using his limbs, the wraith swam to the break of the water and breathed deeply in the air outside. His eyes sought the woman who had followed him beneath the swell.
