Day laughed at her accusation, and, finally, rolled off of his captive, giving her space to breath. "I won," he said confidently, though he couldn't help but feel that he never won these battles - or maybe that it was victory enough just to have them. It didn't matter.
Tired, now, Day allowed his body to relax and lounged in the grass beside Adeline, tail flicking lazily and eyes fluttering shut.

Her nose wrinkles when he decides he’s won as he rolls off her. She slowly turns so that she is on her side, facing him as he takes his time settling down. Her brow lifts in a quirk and she smiles, lifting one front leg daringly in front of her. He can’t match all the energy in the world that she carries around but she doesn’t try to entice him anymore. For a while longer, the girl watches him without a word, until she feels a tiredness creep up behind her in the form of a nap.
