-Sounds like a real bore,- he teased when Towhee mentioned going for a patrol. On that, the two had always differed. Phox had been far more interested in staring at the stars and hunting than protecting anybody (sans his closest friends and family).
-Meerkat and I will have all the fun without you,- he added, even as he glanced over to see the little twerp fast asleep where she had been when he first arrived. As for Phox, he planned on taking a good, long nap. He considered cuddling up with Meerkat, but he figured she'd be loud enough when she woke up that he wouldn't need to be right there when she did.
