faust watched her, the glow of her grin settling something deep within him. she was soft in ways he didn’t understand—light in a world that had never been kind to him. and yet, she gave herself so freely to him, without hesitation, without fear.
his gaze flicked to the crows gathering, then back to her, unreadable, but something in the tension of his jaw shifted. slowly, he reached out, nudging her chin upward with his nose, forcing her to meet his eyes fully. his expression was intense, but not unkind. he held her there for a breath, then another—until, without a word, he kissed her.
it was slow, tongue swirling. a claiming, but not of body. of something deeper.
when he pulled back, he exhaled through his nose, brushing his muzzle along her cheek before he finally grumbled,
eat, woman.the crows could wait. she would not go hungry. not under his watch.
