RE: the old bridge is on fire and i’m the one to blame - OG Magpie - January 26, 2015

Lol, I totally forgot that SS was a sore spot because I was so ecited.

The silence was tense between them as Fox seemed to weigh Magpie's appeal, but the yearling sighed in defeat when her older sister finally spoke. It still wasn't fair that she couldn't go see Summer by herself— she was an adult, now, gods damn it— but it seemed such a small thing to argue in the face of... well, everything that had just transpired and come to light. Her jaw shut with a marked click, and she waited glumly for her escort to arrive. Perhaps it wouldn't be all bad. Maybe Finley would be easier to reason with, because almost anyone was easier to reason with than Fox. And, Magpie reluctantly supposed, she did have a history of disappearing... she guessed that it was that fact that had held more influence on Fox's command than anything else.

RE: the old bridge is on fire and i’m the one to blame - Finley - January 26, 2015

this might be slightly autobiographical :|

Once upon a time, Finley was trying really effing hard to fall asleep. But though she had no gossip thread and no ability to wander about a forum reading about the lives of her friends, unlike a certain role player who is now awake after four hours of sleep and whimpering about having to go to work, she still couldn't help but feel like something exciting was happening. Something that she would miss if she actually did let herself fall asleep. And then, there it was, after hours of lying awake in bed, reading and checking threads for replies until her eyes popped out, a howl rose in the distance that caused her to officially give up on her efforts and lope off towards the outer edge of the territory.

It didn't take the beta too long to come across the pair. She slowed to a trot and went right to Fox, yawning wide just before reaching out and poking her alpha's ribs and then cheek wih her muzzle. "You rang?" she asked as she stepped back, blinking through her now watery eyes as she turned her head to peer curiously at the young wolf. She smelled kind of familiar, but it was a face Fin didn't recognize having never actually met her when she was a member of the Caldera.

Edit: Also, just to clarify - Magpie and Ty would both be betas because Summer is the man and they will be too busy making him sandwiches to do any Alpha-ing.

RE: the old bridge is on fire and i’m the one to blame - RIP Fox - January 26, 2015

*amused by Stevie rants* Edit: I'm going to go ahead and close this one out. :)

Magpie didn't protest, and for that, Fox was glad. She really didn't want all of her present family to be unhappy with her. Finley arrived somewhat promptly, looking like she'd just woken up from a three-day bender. "Finley, this is Magpie. Magpie, Finley." Good, introductions were easy. "Magpie is my half-sister, and I want you to go with her to The Sunspire." Instructions complete, and they weren't even that difficult. She wasn't asking Finley to hawk over her like some overbearing vulture, but she did want Magpie to have somebody along for the ride.

"Then, I want you to bring her back." Fox paused, then added, "If that's what she decides to do. If not," Fox turned to Magpie now, "at least tell Finley where you're going, so I know that you're safe. You'll always have a home here, Magpie." Knowing that her half-sister was in good hands paws, Fox watched as the two began their journey to The Sunspire.
