Bones burning - Peregrine Redhawk - July 02, 2015

It rained all night. When Peregrine arose for his early patrol, he was greeted by a gray and wet world. He paid no mind to it. He stood, stretched out his legs, then bowed forward with a luxurious yawn. When he straightened, he gave his damp pelt a mighty shake. Huffing under his breath, the Alpha male trotted to a nearby pool, lapped a few mouthfuls, then proceeded to disembark toward the borders.

It was still drizzling as he began his patrol. His jade eyes swept the soaking wet wilderness and he idly licked his lips. He beheld nothing out of the ordinary, though he maintained a heightened level of vigilance as he undertook his tireless circuit.

RE: Bones burning - Finley - July 04, 2015

Now that Finley had finally ventured away from her den and her role as protective, overbearing mama bear, it was becoming less and less gut-wrenchingly painful to do.  A little.  Mostly.  Okay, for about an hour it was easy, even a bit of a relief, to get out and away from the little booby-sucker.  After that first hour though, her resolve began to crumble and like an alcoholic banging on the door of the liquor store in the ten minutes before it opened, she was dragging herself back home for some Eljay snuggles.

Fortunately, this thread takes place in that first hour (or so Stevie has decided).  The Blackthorn had never been enormously fond of the rain, but considering the fact that she had experienced very little besides dark, warm, dry den atmosphere for the past few weeks, she found herself actually reveling in the feel of the water slipping against her skin.  On a whim, she decided to aim her trajectory towards the borders of the packlands where it took her about five minutes to discover that her alpha had just passed by within the last quarter hour.  Eagerly, Fin spun in her tracks and cantered off to seek him out.

Fin wasted no time trotting up alongside of him once she spotted the dark wolf.  Lowering her head with a mischievous grin, she slunk up to him like a creeping... creep.  She was being a creep.  "Like a wraith in the night, he slunk about, patrolling his borders with an iron claw," Finley whispered dramatically as she came to Peregrine's side, "When suddenly he paused, raising his regal head as motivation struck him - a feral need to claim what was his, to protect his kingdom from the vagabonds that threatened to infiltrate his keep!  And with a regal raise of his powerful, sinuous leg, he..."

Fin paused quite suddenly then, dropping her animated antics to give her friend a curious look.  "You wanna know what happens next or is it too much for your heart to take?" she asked, her tail wagging as she canted her head to one side.

He knew she was there before she strode up to him, yet Peregrine ignored her. Even when she flanked him and began commentating his every movement like David Attenborough narrating a wildlife documentary, the Alpha didn't so much as acknowledge Finley's presence. He proceeded to skulk along the borders, discreetly acting out her narration, even pausing and lifting a leg even as she described it.

That's when Finley trailed off and Peregrine finally blinked at her, waiting silently and expectantly for the puppet master to finish the scene.

RE: Bones burning - Pantaleimon - July 07, 2015

Pantaleimon decided to go for an early patrol. She trotted through the drizzle, feeling her wet thicken as she did, and couldn't help herself; she was thinking of Perry most of the time. Pan still hadn't plucked up the guts to tell him about her gender-thing. She wondered how Fox would react if she'd know, too, but wasn't too worried. In Pantaleimon's experience, most wolves didn't acknowledge nor accept her gender identity anyway. Fox would probably still see her as a male. Would Perry, though?

Her head stuck in the clouds, Pantaleimon trotted through the drizzly darkness until she saw something in the distance. It wasn't until he was fairly close that she could tell the dark shape in the distance apart from the other landscape. She didn't even see that he wasn't alone. Pantaleimon quickened her pace to a gallop and called out: "Perry!" to make her presence known, a soft and eager smile on her face. She wondered if he had given the subject they'd spoken of earlier more thought. She sure had.

It wasn't until Pan was nearly at his side that she noticed Finley there. Pan's eyes turned from contained excitement to terror in a split second. While they remained nervous, the terror soon vaporised as Pan awkwardly tried to salvage the situation by saying: "Oh, uh, hi uhm, hi Finley."

RE: Bones burning - Finley - July 10, 2015

Like a puppet, Peregrine bent to her will and obediently followed her narration.  Without saying a word, he answered the question she'd posed.  Fin wracked her brain for a moment, trying to think of something clever to make him do besides pee himself.  After all, now that she knew she had complete power over her alpha's actions, she had to do something hilarious besides just having him mark their territory.

Fortunately, she didn't have to try too hard to think of something unexpected for the unexpected suddenly arrived in the form of Pan.  Fin turned to him in surprise when he called out to Peregrine having not noticed his approach beforehand.  She blinked through his awkward stuttering, waiting till he was quiet before taking her turn to speak.  "Suddenly, a wild Pantaleimon appears!" she narrated, turning to look at Peregrine again, "What will the dark king do, this pale interloper encroaching upon his kingdom?"

RE: Bones burning - Peregrine Redhawk - July 13, 2015

He anticipated something weird would come next, yet before Finley could come up with some antic or other, Pan approached. Peregrine set his leg back on the ground and waved his tail, reaching out to nuzzle the other male when he came within reach. His two subordinates then seemed to suddenly notice each other and he remained silent as Pan stumbled through an awkward greeting, jade eyes shifting to Finley in the hope that she wouldn't playfully torture his vulnerable companion. He imagined she knew about the two of them; surely Elwood would have passed along the news.

She wound up picking up the joke and kept running with it again. The Alpha paused, then a thought struck him and he grinned a salacious little smile at the Beta. "What will he do, indeed," he murmured, moving to stand behind Pan and giving his rump a playful little nibble. Meanwhile, he maintained eye contact with the Beta female even as he made it look as if he fully intended to mount Pan right there and go to town on him. Finley knew Peregrine was capable of such debauchery; what she didn't know was that the Alpha would never subject the meek, innocent Pan to such a public display (not without consent, at least!).

RE: Bones burning - Pantaleimon - July 14, 2015

Pantaleimon did not understand what this awkward thing was that was going on between Finley and Peregrine. Were they doing some sort of storytelling thing? Pan awkwardly stood and watched the pair of them as they interacted (well, sort of) and didn’t say anything after her stunted greeting. Neither greeted him back, both enveloped in their story, it seemed.

When Peregrine moved to stand behind her, Pan glanced between Finley and Peregrine with a questioning look on her face. When she realised what was going on – or, well, she thought she did, but wasn’t too sure if it could really be, considering how utterly weird it’d be, to start – Pan felt the urge to flee away, but she find herself unable.

Rooted to the ground and completely flinched, Pantaleimon remained in place, rigid with fear but finding herself unable to say or do anything to stop this.

RE: Bones burning - Finley - July 17, 2015

In true Peregrine fashion, the alpha decided to move forward with the game in the most uncomfortable way possible.  Fin rolled her eyes as he moved behind Pan - who she only just now remembered was involved with the alpha, which made it less weird, kinda.  She didn't break Peregrine's gaze as he moved to mount his man candy, not until a moment passed where he was almost perfectly hidden behind the white male.  It was then that she spotted the look on the subordinate's face, and thus her own perfectly calm and collected expression shattered into a laughing grin as she gleaned amusement from his intense discomfort (like the kind-hearted, sympathetic woman she was).

"Perry, you're scaring people with your penis again," Fin informed him, still smiling but starting to wonder if that would actually stop him.  Maybe this was just their thing - the big, burly Pan acting all terrified while the alpha had his way with him.  Very odd, but perhaps just odd enough to befit a wolf like Peregrine.

RE: Bones burning - Peregrine Redhawk - July 17, 2015

Peregrine smirked at Finley's frank remark, then smiled smugly. "It is frightening, due to its sheer size. I mean, the girth alone..." He trailed off there, leering at her, then shifted his eyes to the back of Pan's head. Only then did he really become aware of Pan's rigid, fearful stance. The Alpha almost made a filthy joke about how Pan (and a particular part of his anatomy) should fear his dong size... but, while he didn't usually mind making jokes at the expense of others' comfort, Pan was an exception.

He placed a soft kiss on Pan's hip, then moved to stand beside him. "I'd never do that to you," he whispered lightly into his lover's ear, giving him a dopey smile. "Unless you wanted it." Louder, he added, "I don't think Pan is into public displays and voyeurism, so it's your lucky day, Finley Fuckface McGee!"

Now, jokes aside, "I have a long, rainy patrol ahead of me... unless one of you wants to take over and let me off the hook?" Bright-eyed Peregrine revealed a beseechingly toothy grin as his jade eyes bounced between their pretty little faces.

RE: Bones burning - Pantaleimon - July 23, 2015

Pan wasn't sure what to think when Finley started to laugh, not sure what she was laughing at. When Pan timidly looked over her shoulder she noticed that Perry had begun to laugh too, and only then did it finally dawn on her that this was all just a game, a joke, and that he wouldn't actually do anything right now. Not only was Pantaleimon nowhere near ready for such a thing, but she hardly imagined it would be in the rain, at the borders, with Finley present, even if ever she would accept this to happen.

When Perry placed a kiss on her hip, Pan's hindquarters tensed in reflex, and she shot him an apologetic smile as he whispered in her ear. It made Pan think: she wasn't really sure if this was something she ever wanted, but then again, how would she ever know if she liked it or not before trying? The thought was altogether frightening, but who knew if it was actually as terrifying as she thought until she tried? Pan suppressed a reflexive "sorry" after the ordeal and looked from Finley to Peregrine briefly.

Pantaleimon hoped that Perry would join her in patrol, but it seemed he was mostly looking for someone to do it for him. Too bashful to ask her lover to join, Pan offered, "I'll do it." Pan didn't mind the rain that much, since she loved the water, and if it would make Perry happy, she would gladly do it.

RE: Bones burning - Finley - July 23, 2015

Fin rolled her eyes dramatically at her alpha as he went on to brag about the size of his dick.  What was it with men liking to have massive peepees?  Unless you had an equally massive vagina, bigger was not always better.  Being a petite little lady, she was rather a fan of the more modest size weenies.  Such as Elwood's.  Mmmm... It made Fin's stomach flutter just thinking of all the ways he was perfect for her...

Wait, what?

She tuned back in when she heard her name - or at least some version of her name.  Fin frowned at his offer and shook her head.  Pan apparently was all for it, but the beta decided right away that it was about time she got back home to her Twigs.  "Yeah, I think I'll pull the I-have-a-baby card," she said with a grin, "I mean, since I have a baby and all."  She pulled herself to her feet and turned to leave.  "Pan, don't let him make you do all the work.  And I mean that in more ways than one,"  She gave him a wink before setting off.

RE: Bones burning - Peregrine Redhawk - July 23, 2015

Just as easily as Pan accepted, Finley declined and headed off with a few parting remarks. "Smell ya later, madre," he jokingly called after her. Laughing lightly to himself, he then turned to face Pan and offered, "How about we do it together? That will make it slightly less painfully boring, right?"

It might have been a better idea to divide and conquer, yet Peregrine rather enjoyed having Pan by his side, especially all to himself now. "After we wrap up, wanna sneak somewhere warm and dry for a snuggle sesh?" he quipped. He wondered if Pan knew how special he was to hear stuff like that come from the Alpha's mouth, where most just got an earful of vitriol.

RE: Bones burning - Pantaleimon - July 24, 2015

Finley was quick to decline the patrol, and Pantaleimon watched as she went off while her face heated up upon her remarks. "Uhm, bye," Pan uncomfortably said in a low, quiet voice, and as quick as she had come upon the scene, Finley was gone.

It warmed Pantaleimon's heart that Peregrine decided to join the patrol anyway -- that was just what she had hoped for when accepting the patrol, but she'd been too shy to ask. "I would like that," Pan said with a soft smile, both to the patrol-join and the suggestions for afterwards. Pan could barely wait until the patrol was over.

"Let's get going," Pan said and she nipped at Perry's shoulder, then broke into a trot along Redhawk Caldera's borders, keeping her eyes open and not minding the rain that much.

want to wrap this up here with a fade, since we have that other post-storm thread going too? c:
