isn't it funny how life works - Kieran - July 16, 2015 Aw but would prefer @Kaskara at least first Kieran strode from talking to Scimitar a huge spring in his step. He was so excited, he didn't quite know how to contain himself. He went in search of Kaskara, following her scent throughout the pack lands. He got frustrated that he couldn't find her, so finally tipping his head back he called to her. Asking that she come to see him, he had some pretty good news. Then he settled to his haunches, licked his chops and waited, yawning quietly. A small smile sat on his face, smug and sweet. He wasn't sure what he was going to say, or where they would go from here. And he thought perhaps woudl they need to tell the whole pack? or was that something that no one needed to know? He could care less who knew honestly, he'd howl it to the mountains just cause he was so happy about it. RE: isn't it funny how life works - Kaskara - July 20, 2015 I'm not sure if this should be set before or after my thread with Scim. So I'm going to be vague. :P
Her life had been a little uncertain lately. Her brother was angry with her, she hadn't spoken to Bazi or Kieran in a while, and her friend Falwasi had disappeared, too. There were very few wolves in the pack that she felt they would collapse at any moment. In reality, however, they were as strong as ever, if not a little small. The wolves that comprised the bulk of the pack were used to fighting and it showed in their stature and demeanor. Kas was just glad that they didn't need to prove it to anyone. Kieran's call rose to the sky, beckoning to her. With a smile plastered across her face, Kaskara heeded his call with a short one of her own, and made her way toward him. It didn't take long across the mountain terrain, a testament to the strength and agility she had gained by living here, and she approached her beloved with a smile. She nudged his shoulder gently, planting a soft kiss upon his cheek before stepping back, awaiting his news. "Hey." Her voice was soft and inviting as she looked him up and down. "Do you have good news?" RE: isn't it funny how life works - Kieran - July 30, 2015 [quote='Kaskara' pid='125416' dateline='1437417684'] No problem :)
Kieran didn't concern himself much with the size of the pack or what have you. He knew that it wasn't his job, that was Kaskara's and Scimitar's and Bazi's. He supposed in time, he would be a near to listen to Kaskara's fears about the issues, but for now he was content not to worry all that much about it. Kieran wagged his tail when she approached returning her lick with one of his own. His eyes twinkled at her merrily for a second, before turning back to their regular flat green. Aye oi chucker. Yisser brah'der gave 'is blessin'. Kieran sat still, the only thing moving was his tail, as it brushed back and forth along the loam. RE: isn't it funny how life works - Kaskara - July 30, 2015 Pretending this is set BEFORE the thread with Scim. :O <3
Kaskara smiled a bit shyly when Kieran licked her cheek, sending flutters through her body. It didn't matter if she knew his feelings for her, it still made her incredibly giddy whenever he was near. She was overjoyed to hear that Scimitar had given them his blessing. It would make everything else easier. "Fantastic!" She pounced at him playfully and bounced around him as if she were a puppy. She felt like one, ecstatic and joyful and so excited. "Oh! I'm so glad he said yes. I don't know what I would have done if he didn't give his blessing." She finally settled and nudged his cheek again, nuzzling further into his neck as the pace of her heart slowed. "I'm glad." RE: isn't it funny how life works - Kieran - August 22, 2015 Kieran felt his own heart stutter and strangely flutter. He gulped softly, unsure what to do or say. He shook his head tongue tied and chuckled quietly. He laughed as she bounced and gamboled about him, his eyes flashing merrily. He wasn't much of a dancer, but he would have done so if she asked. Kieran sighed softly at her next words, his brow furrowing for a moment. He knew what he would have done, he would have left. He didn't want to tell her that thought, cause he was fairly certain his language would butcher it. That he would have had to have left so he could respect her brother's wishes, because if he was around her, he wouldn't have been able too. But it had all worked out. He smiled and curved his own head around the back of her own. Naw use worryin' aboyt waat we wud or wudn't 'av done. Al' dat matters is yer man gave 'is blessin' Kieran chuckled softly and licked her cheek, nuzzling her behind her ear. Oi'm glad too RE: isn't it funny how life works - Kaskara - August 26, 2015 Whatever Kieran said, Kaskara knew what she would have done if Scimitar had denied Kieran's request to court her: moved away with him. She loved her brother and the family he and Bazi had brought forth, but she had to live her own life, too. She couldn't stand around all her life waiting for someone to love her. Kieran loved her now, and she would not wait any longer. She grinned, leaving all of these thoughts in her head, as she leaned into Kieran's wolfish hug. She returned his nuzzle as well and pressed herself firmly against him, feeling the heat of his heart on her chest. Her breath caught in her throat at the touch, and though they were newly courting, she felt the surge of...something flare inside her. She pulled away with a nervous laugh. "Well, um...What do we do now?" RE: isn't it funny how life works - Kieran - September 09, 2015 Kieran tilted his ears backwards and then forwards again as he listened and watched. Kieran did love her now, would love her forever. It was strange sometimes to him to have loved twice in a lifetime, but he had known many that had loved many times. He just wasn't cut from that cloth, he was a loyal fellow. Kieran didn't move, but he couldn't deny that she lit a fire everywhere, but this was something, everything really she would take the lead on. Cause honestly even he really didn't know all that much about all of that. He had loved Kiva, had given in once or twice to nature and instinct, but she had been taken from him quick enough that it hadn't been long term. He chuckled merrily at her laughter, licking the side of her muzzle. He pushed his ears forward. We can chucker whatever yer want Kaskara. We can make it offishal in front av everyone or jist alone. Yer can taker me last name or keep yisser own. But as far as scon are concerned. We are mated. There was more to it than that of course, but he wasn't about to bring that up just now. RE: isn't it funny how life works - Kaskara - September 12, 2015 Kaskara was unsure of how to proceed, never having had a mate before. This was her first love and first mate, a feeling that might have been strange to others. She wasn't old by any means, and so she didn't feel strange having never loved another before. Her father had betrothed her to another in her youth, but she never thought of that now. As far as she was concerned, it wasn't important. She hadn't loved the guy, and had left her home before she could be forced to marry him. "I think...let's keep it between us for now." She grinned softly, nuzzling her nose into his scruff. She liked that spot; it was soft and warm. "But soon, I think we can tell everyone." She'd tell Bazi as soon as she could, if Scimitar hadn't told her first. Kaskara stood and stretched, rolling out her muscles and joints, ending in a vigorous shake of her coat. "Want to celebrate? Maybe...a hunt?" RE: isn't it funny how life works - Kieran - September 20, 2015 Kieran was different from Kaskara in a number of ways, not including his age. By most standards he was not a young man anymore. No he was much older now. He wondered briefly if any would find that odd, the age gap between she and him. Kieran had not been betrothed exactly, but it had been known he would marry Kiva, so perhaps it had been a loose one. Kieran smiled back her. Keeping it between them, he was fine with that. Honestly he wouldn't care if they didn't tell anyone. Although, he wasn't about ot let a male know if he came sniffing around. As far as Kieran was concerned, should one do so, it would be a death sentence for the other. He wouldn't be shoved around so easily now. Pure well Kaskara. Scon are gran' wi' dat. He chuckled amused as she buried her face further into his ruff. He didn't mind, it made him feel good actually, more of a man if you will. He wagged his tail happily. A 'unt soudns wonderful. Oi 'enny been doin' much, an' oi chucker loike a 'unt. RE: isn't it funny how life works - Kaskara - September 23, 2015 Kas smiled and nuzzled him one more time before she stood and shook out her coat. They were going for a hunt! She stretched, rolling her shoulders and easing her muscles, warming them up. Then with a grin, she gave him a soft nip on his cheek, and dashed off. They could chase each other around a bit before settling into a hunt. Besides, they'd have to hunt small game anyway, and chasing them out of their warrens with their play and banter would make it easier to decide which prey to track down. Kaskara stopped a few yards away and turned back toward Kieran, her eyes bright with merriment. She barked at him playfully, then let her tongue loll out of her mouth. "You comin'?" She smiled again and took off again, trotting teasingly yards in front of him. Kas had never felt so free and light before. She liked the feeling. RE: isn't it funny how life works - Kieran - September 27, 2015 Kieran watched her with a playful smile on his face. She was beautiful. Kieran didn't move for a moment, soaking everything in, everything. He wasn't sure when the last time he had been this happy was. It was amazing the way he felt. So amazing. Kieran barked playfully and took after after her. He nipped her hip gently and then raced past her, his laughter falling back to her. He wagged his tail waiting for her to catch up. It had been a long time since he had played a good game of chase. RE: isn't it funny how life works - Kaskara - September 29, 2015 Let's wrap this up and have a new one!
They stood staring at each other, the magic of the moment swirling around them. Warm sunlight filtered down through the trees, dappling their coats. She smiled at him and turned, but soon heard his heavy paws thudding against the earth. She giggled and started to turn when he nipped at her hip and darted past. "Hey!" she cried, laughter spilling from her. She kicked up dirt and pushed her body onward, toward him, catching up quickly enough. She bumped her nose against him gently and ran beside him, feeling forever free and open to the world. Her heart surged not only with the blood that pumped through it, but the love that she felt for the man beside her. RE: isn't it funny how life works - Kieran - October 02, 2015 Yes lets
Kieran enjoyed the run in the night air. He didn't try and speed past her now, no he was fine with simply running with her into the night. It was beautiful and freeing. He loved the moment. He nudged her gently as they ran, his tongue lolling out. Happy and carefree. |
