A Feast for All! - Scarlett - August 03, 2015 Pack Activity! Everyone is welcome!
@Raziel @Kove @Adlartok @Vega @Rhythm @Azaria @Nanook @Sesi @Desna @Xan @Leo @Cry Scarlett will be introducing Leo for the wolves who haven't met him yet and welcome the other new members! Also a regroup after the storm and to feast on another successful hunt! (It is up to you if your wolf was present at the pack hunt, though I was thinking Raziel, Cry and Azaria were there at least!) No posting order, we will work in rounds. You can post as many times as you like in a round. Post in each round at least 1 time and you get 20 EXP points (yay!). Next Round starts on Thursday 6th of August! Scarlett helped her members drag the massive stag carcass closer to the den her pups were housing in. It would be good for her babies to see a fresh kill and see the wolves eat and squabble over the bits of meat. After she and Raziel ate Scarlett could peacefully feed her own young while the subordinates could have their fill. There was a lot of meat so Scarlett figured there would be enough for everyone. It would be perfect! Everyone could meet the new members and their newest pup, Leo. Scarlett thought it would be good for the pack's spirit to have one big meal together. They worked hard for it after all. And they survived a super storm. The red eyed Beta trotted into the cave. "C'mon little ones," she called out warmly. "I have a surprise for you. Follow mommy," she hummed. Scarlett liked to see her babies happy and excited. Hopefully this big carcass would do the trick. Scarlett also wanted them to gain more social skills during this meeting. She wasn't keeping her babies excluded anymore like she did when they were much smaller. Now they were big enough to communicate with them and learn how to behave in a pack, those were very important skills. Scarlett trotted out of the cave, expecting the young pups to follow their mother into the open field with the high grass. Then she howled loudly to summon every other member who wasn't present by the carcass. Scarlett sat down and looked at Raziel. She didn't want to assume that she was allowed to eat with him. Maybe the alpha wanted to eat alone first. She would respect that. She knew after Raziel was done it was his turn. Hopefully there would be some juicy organs left so she could then feed that partly to her young. RE: A Feast for All! - RIP Leo - August 03, 2015 Same old day for the little lion boy. He was working on a hole that got bigger and bigger everyday. He wondered what would be underneath. While Scarlett had gone hunting, he worked on his special hole. He was quite pleased with the progress. It had got so big, it was hard for him to get back out. Today was the day he was once again stuck. He giggled cheerfully. This was a nice spot he made for himself! It wouldn't be much fun if he couldn't share it with his siblings. "Loooooook!" he called out, not sure if his siblings were even listening. He went onto his back and started rubbing his back against the dirt, making his fur dirty. He didn't notice Scarlett coming in until he heard her sweet voice. "Scer, LOOOOK!" he called in excitment, trying to get her attention. He would have to get out of this hole if he wanted her to see clearly. He got onto his hind legs and grappled onto the side of the hole. He used all his might to pull himself out. When he was out, he saw that Scarlett was already leaving. He did a high pitched yip, then raced behind her. Once again, he was out in the open world. This is where him and Densa had played together. His pale blue eyes locked onto the familiar grey male, making a smile cross over his face. "Razeel!" he screeched, running over to the giant wolf. The creamy boy made himself confortable underneath Raziel, not wanting to leave. He liked to be next to him. One day he would grow to be just like him! RE: A Feast for All! - Azaria - August 03, 2015 Azaria hadn't realized how much she'd missed the feeling of support that came with hunting in a pack. She could feel their combined power aiding them as they raced along after the limping stag before bringing it down to leave warm blood fresh on their jaws. She had of course helped carry it back and the ex-loner was all too enchanted by a chance to get acquainted with the rest of the pack. There was enough meat that even the Theta was sure that there would be plenty to go around.Working together did wonders for strengthening unity amonst members of the pack.It was enough for her to even be a part of such a force though enjoying the spoils of their hunt was a wonderful bonus. A vicious storn had assualted the land during her travels and she'd had to seek shelter in an abandoned fox den just to avoid being swept away in the fierce winds. She hoped that no member of her new pack had been harmed as a result but she knew that other territories would be far worse off than the sheltered valley. Aza stationed herself a fair distance from the fresh carcass to dutifully wait until those of higher rank filled their bellies before herself. The blood she licked from her pale muzzle was enough to sate her hunger for now. Tarnished amber orbs glanced over to the Beta though as scarlet returned with what she believed to be her pups trailing behind her.The arctic creature couldn't help but smile upon sight of the young ones, the next generation of Bearclaw Valley. "You are a very fortune mother to have had such healthy looking pups Scarlett."Aza spoke with a smile as she watched one scurry under Raziel.Something told her though that he wasn't the father of this litter despite the liking he too towards the Beta.
RE: A Feast for All! - RIP Valette - August 03, 2015 Desna was a pouty mess when her mother told her that she wasn't allowed to go with the hunt. She wanted to do some some huntin too! She was a super wolf and she could help her mommy find meats. She really liked the meats better than the milk now. Before she couldn't decide and had much of both, yet now she was growing her teeth we wanted to use them! Desna was always a fan of eating, which was clear in her body size and how plump her body was. It was especially funny as she tried to run. She was alike a fat potato with short legs. Desna didn't mind it though, she was very confident about herself. She let out a bossy protest when her mommy left. She watched Leo and the other pups mindlessly. Leo was digging too much again. Though mommy hadn't scolded him for it so Desna thought it was allowed. The den was a bit more ... hole-y... than before though. With her curious hazel colored eyes she watched him tiredlessly dig. Once her mother returned Desna was full of excitement. She did hear Leo but she was just too exited to help him now. There was surpris! She loved surpris!! It was usually food. Desna decided that food was more important than Leo. She ran after her mommy, stumbling over her short legs a few times, but she managed to keep up. Her fat body basically rolling forward if she wasn't running. An excited little tail wagged so fast it was almost not there. "Wass ssuupris??," she let out excitedly and tried to lick her mommy's jaw for the red meat. She was hungry!! What she didn't understand was that mommy still had to eat the meat. Desna was convinced her super mommy was making milk and making the meat. Today she would learn that her mommy had to eat the meat first before chewing and feeding it to them. She then saw the big carcass and oooh'ed loudly. She sniffed the air, it smelled a bit off food, but different. Desna looked up when there was a new pale wolf, looking like her mommy. Desna looked at her and then decided to make herself known. She trotted towards the new female and then jumped up against her. "Whoes you?," she demanded as she stood up against Azaira with her front paws and tried to sniff her muzzle. "Iam Desna!," she let the other know. "Das My mommy. And Das Razeeeeel. Razeeeel and Kov are Daddies." RE: A Feast for All! - Azaria - August 04, 2015 The pale wolf's lips curled back in a smile as the pup approached her and went so far as to stand up against her.Azaria had no problem with the pup's curious contact though and she lowered her head some to sniff the little furry creature in turn. Her voice was strong for a whelp her age though her speech still wasn't as clear as it could be.She could understand her well enough though and the arctic wolf gazed softly upon the young pup. She gently touched her muzzle to the pup's and went so far as to nudge her furry cheek with her cold nose. "That's a very pretty name Desna.Mine is Azaria but you can call me Aza.Your mother and Raziel were very gracious to welcome me to your pack but I have yet to meet Kov or many others. It's nice to meet you though."the wolf spoke kindly though she'd suspected that Raziel wasn't the father of this litter.Apparently this Kov was Scarlett's mate,or at least he must've been before even if not anymore.
RE: A Feast for All! - Xan - August 04, 2015 Alexander had been trying to enjoy a nice nap, and yet he found himself unable to. That little punk his mother had brought home was, once again, making a mess of the place by digging another hole. Seriously, he didn't get what the boy liked about it. It made him look so gross when all the dirt clung to him, but then again, that meant he'd be given a bath. Of course, that solidified the young Inuit's belief that the other child was trying to steal his mother away from him. What was wrong with him? Clearly, he wasn't related to them, and he was super annoying, too, so what gave him the right to try and take the odd-eyed boy's mother away? His thoughts made his features contort into a deep frown, and his eyes narrowed in the other boy's direction. Standing, he started marching towards the younger whelp, set on making a point that his constant hole-digging was becoming quite the nuisance—as was his tendencies to steal his mom's attention at times he wanted it. The little albino only made it about halfway to his destination, however, before their birth giver entered the smelly den. He understood what she said, but wasn't really interested—well, not at first. When the other children got up—specifically Leo—Xan was quick to turn and head towards the den's opening. There was no way he'd allow the other's to go out and do whatever it was that the adult had planned, at least not without him. It was his job to keep them in line, after all. He needed to watch them and make sure no one didn't anything he didn't like, just as most first-born's would do. So, the boy made his way out into the outside world once more, his nose instantly being assaulted by new scents. There was the scent of the fresh kill, which was similar to the regurgitated meat his mother would give him, but there was also that of the other wolves. Or, rather, one wolf. Another woman, one who shared a pale coat. She was like himself, and his mother and father, too. It interested him slightly, but not enough for her to be accepted. She was still a stranger, and probably not even that interesting. He shot her a glare, though the look was passed to his sister almost immediately after. The girl had run up to the older wolf and started blabbering on. At first, he didn't care, until he heard the part about their 'daddies'. That was not right! The smelly wolf was not their dad, their dad was dad. He started towards them, wishing to correct his sister. "No," he stated firmly as he got closer, ignoring the older wolf's presence for the time being. "Dad is dad, not the s-szmelly." His frown deepened as he got tripped up on the last word, but decided it was good enough. Desna's words got him thinking, though. When he looked at her and the other girls, he was not met with the sight of a cloud-like colour. They did not match him, his mother, or their father. Maybe, his dad wasn't their dad... That thought annoyed him quite a bit. If that was the case, then why did his dad pay attention to them? If that's how things were, then the boy should get all the attention, not those dust-coloured liars. He looked to his mother, then, wanting to ask her about that, but another sound caught his attention instead. Xan recognized the sound as the steps of another, though they were quiet. Any softer and they probably would have gone unnoticed by his little ears, but luckily for him, that wasn't the case. Turning his head in a new direction, he was met with the sight of his dad. His dad. Yeah, he figured it all out on his own. Kove was his dad, and then the others had the smelly wolf. Right? He found himself doubting his thoughts, an occurrence he did not like, and wished to fix that. Eventually, he planned to ask one of them about it, whether it be his mother or his father, he did not yet know. For the moment, it didn't matter—well, it wasn't that it didn't matter, it was just that he didn't think it was the most important thing at the moment. Turning away from the others entirely, he started towards the elder Inuit. The boy had his head up with a wide grin spread across his maw, and his little tail was whirling around behind him. "TikinniKet!" the child exclaimed, stumbling over the word slightly, but not really caring. He was getting better with the words his father was teaching him, and that was what counted. So far, it seemed he wasn't teaching any of the others, so maybe Kove really was just his dad. Again, he reminded himself that he'd need to ask later on. For now, though, he walked along with his dad, and even sat down beside him. He wasn't too interested in the 'surprise', since it was just another thing there for food. He'd still be fed the same way, so he didn't really care how it got to him. RE: A Feast for All! - Kove - August 04, 2015 The ghost had been off away from the den, for once. He'd planned to wait outside it, but had eventually needed to go off and relieve himself, as well as chase down a hare or two. Once they'd been caught, he'd stored them away and then started back towards the den his children resided in. A detour had been made in order to check out the waterfall, as well as the tunnel that lied behind it, but the action was brief. The howl that sounded through the valley caused his head to raise and his ears to perk up, a sliver of curiosity behind his eyes. Still, he debated on whether or not he should answer it, despite that fact that it was to summon the pack members. He was a member of the pack, had been for awhile now, and yet he couldn't help but consider ignoring the voice of his soon-to-be-ex lover. The tunnel was probably far more interesting, anyways, but he knew he couldn't use that as an excuse, or as a distraction. The fall of the water was still too much, leaving him unable to get to it. Later, he'd check it again, and hope that it was accessible. For now, however, he saw no way he could avoid the others, and so he started in the direction from which the howl had sounded. Kove arrived right after Desna had spoken, the time it took him to get there just enough to keep him from hearing what his daughter had said. He would have corrected her, had he known what she'd told the other wolf. He also would have answered his son's question, had it been spoken aloud, but since that was not the case, he took on a silence approach. His expression was neutral at first, until he saw Xan come up to him, greeting him in the language the elder had missed hearing and using so much. It was the language of his home, and he was glad to share it with his only son. The man had considered teaching his daughters, too, but was unsure if they'd be interested in learning it. "Ilângai," the elder returned, giving a gentle nudge to the smaller male in greeting. He could not recall if he'd taught him the word yet, but assumed he had when he started walking beside him. Either that, or Xan was just going along with what was happening. Coming to a stop a meter or so away, he focused his copper gaze on the unknown female, before looking down to his daughter. "Too close, Desna," he told her, not liking her being near a stranger. "Be careful." His eyes trailed back up to look at the face of the pale-coated female, almost as if he was examining her. He'd told himself he was going to better his skill of reading others, as the ability had grown rusty, and she was as good a candidate as any. The woman appeared harmless enough, and hadn't made any attempts to hurt the dark child before her, despite the fact that the little girl had presented the opportunity to do so numerous times. "Welcome to the valley," he finally said, having allowed a few extra seconds of silence to pass by. He'd heard her name, thankfully, as well as the fact that she was new. While he did not trust her around his children, and was still uncertain of her himself, he decided to play nice and see how things unfolded. "My name is Kove Apaata, and I see you've already met Desna." The man gave a formal nod of his head as he introduced himself, then looked right back to the woman. "This is my son, Alexander, and I'm sure you'll meet his other two sisters, Nanook and Sesi, later." He assumed the two other children would come out as well, though he understood that they were bound to move at their own paces. RE: A Feast for All! - Nanook - August 04, 2015 "Nanook." The little warrior repeated the name to herself in a whisper, and felt a tingle rush her spine. She chanced a glance behind her, but the way was clear of any of her siblings, and the air free from the sound of approaching steps. She remained alone in her private corner, concealed in an alcove roughed into the rear of the den. Towering earth guarded her from prying ears, and from the constant din of her siblings and that other boy mama had towed in some time ago. These walls alone heard her quiet practice, and she did not intend for that to change now. To her family, she rarely uttered a word now, none, at least, that she had not spoken to herself many times before. Ever since she'd heard the ease with which her brother spoke - especially when he muttered words the other pups never seemed to repeat - she'd felt something strange rise in her, a burning heat at the pit of her being that made her vision shake. Her first tries had matched the skill of Desna, and she'd been fine with that - until she'd heard Xan, and had seen him return with papa with strange words on his lips. They meant nothing to her, but more than anything, she wanted to know. She wanted papa to teach her, just like he did for her brother. But day by day, even though she waited for him to beckon her, he never came for her. He only came for Xan. Nanook could picture her brother now, the look on his smug little face, and her vision quaked so much that when mama called her, she almost didn't follow. Xan would be there, and she didn't want to see him at all. But the draw of food was too strong, and hunger rumbled in her belly. She waited until the den fell silent before she begrudgingly eased out from her nook of solitude and made for the entrance of their shadowed den. Tall grass rose around her, and stood just high enough to see past the tips of the blades. Mama and Raziel stood side by side next to a heaping mound - an animal laying on its side, though the creature was unlike anything Nanook had every seen. Every tendril of scent rose from the beast and warmed the little warrior's nose that when she inhaled again, she almost walked straight to where mama stood. Almost. "My name is Kove Apaata, and I see you've already met Desna." Nanook swivelled her ears before she turned her body right round, and a heat seized her chest at the sound of papa's voice. "This is my son, Alexander, and I'm sure you'll meet his other two sisters, Nanook and Sesi, later." With steps still stilted by her oversized paws, Nanook made a beeline for papa and glanced at his powerful paws to make sure Xan wasn't with him now. He was - and so was Desna. Nanook felt her stomach drop. If Xan didn't take papa's attention, then Desna would. But Nanook refused to turn away and hardened her resolve, craning her neck to look up at the bigger wolves. Now was her chance to show him she could be like Xan, too. "Here, papa." She said in a voice quieter than she'd intended, and her skin flushed beneath her fur. It was no better than a whisper, and she said nothing more, knowing anything more would only make her skin burn hotter. RE: A Feast for All! - Kove - August 04, 2015 Before the new woman could speak up, another voice reached his ears. It was one he knew, of course, though the sound itself was quiet. Sometimes, though, that softness could be a good thing. The man's head turned and he looked down, offering a smile to the girl. "Hello, Nanook," he greeted, lowering himself some so he could give her a gentle nudge, as he'd done with Xan. He'd slowly started to realize that he hadn't been spending a whole lot of time with all of his children, or at least not equally distributing his affections. Though his intentions had never been to pick a 'favourite', his attentiveness towards his son had probably made it seem as if he'd done just that. It made him feel guilty, but he hoped to make it up to each of them. "How are you today?" Kove inquired, planning to start fixing what he'd unintentionally done right then. Maybe, later, he would even speak with each of his daughters about starting on language lessons, too. How such lessons would go, he hadn't yet figured out, but he was hopeful in their potential interest keeping them calm enough to pay attention. Sesi was still nowhere to be seen, but he didn't question it. She seemed to be the quietest of them all now, and he couldn't blame her for wanting to have some alone time every now and again. They were all kept together in the same space for hours on end, so getting tired of one another here and there wasn't a surprise. Then again, he didn't know if that was actually the case or not. Maybe she was just tired, or slow to get out. Whatever the reasoning, he hoped to see all of them together, and maybe he could speak with them if that happened. Kill two birds with one stone. RE: A Feast for All! - Azaria - August 04, 2015 The first thing the arctic wolf noticed about the pups was how different their personalities seemed to be developing even at such a young. One seemingly payed her no mind but the stranger to them took o offense. She couldn’t blame them for being suspicious or even disinterested in anyone they weren’t familiar with.It wasn’t even clear if they were all from the same litter and the newcomer still wasn’t quite sure as to who their biological father was. They were intriguing to say the least but no less important in her eyes.Every member of the pack deserved her respect and support if needed though she could tell they had a very reliable pack to look after them.No doubt with Scarlett as a mother they would all grow up to be fit and knowledgeable young wolves.Their parents must be very proud to have such an active litter though the fourth still hadn’t emerged from the cave yet. Aza’s ears perked to attention as one pup muttered some gibberish that sounded suspiciously like a language that had almost entirely been lost.Surely though the young whelp hadn’t intentionally attempted to voice such a recognizable word though. She hadn’t even heard someone speak the tongue of the Inuit for years now and even she herself had only spoken some few phrases to herself so as not to forget the archaic language. Her dismissal was soon reexamined in light of the approach of another wolf. His pelt was pale and he uttered a word that was undeniably of the obsolete language. She gazed curiously upon him as he scrutinized her though she had since grown accustomed to the judgement of others since entering lands beyond her own.He warned the child though the stranger had absolutely no intention of harming the friendly young pup.It was a warning that she was sure had come from the pup's father and Azaria looked from the pups to him and then back to Scarlett in turn, her mind soon making the connection. The wolf respectfully bowed her head as he welcomed her and introduced the young ones. She took note of who he addressed and noticed thay Sesi was the only one not present out of the litter.Aza figured that the male had overheard her introduce herself and lay her body peacefully down on the ground to assume a resting and peaceful posture. This was to be her new pack and she did not wish to disturb anyone. "Nakummek Nittunattuk,it's a pleasure to meet all of you and an honor to be welcome in your valley."the arctic wolf spoke calmly and politely as she moved her gaze to sweep over the pup that so clearly spoke up to draw her father's attention. They all seemed to at peace with one another that the new pale pelt only hoped that she could find such security amongst the pack. RE: A Feast for All! - Raziel - August 05, 2015 Raziel highly disliked others being with him while he ate. It made him feel as if they wanted to take his share, his rightful share of food as their Alpha. So a dark scowl passed through his hardened and weathered features for a moment as they dragged the stag carcass to his den because his Beta Female had a strange idea in her mind. Damn it all! The den where he so generously shared with the four annoying squabbling kids and the smaller boy whom they had picked up by the borders some days ago. Did they know how irritating it was? Probably not. Raz had only done such a thing because that would mean Scarlett was closer to him and not snuggled up next to the Inuit. If the Roman knew that Xan hated the den, he would have gladly tossed him off to his father; ungrateful brat. He would also have gladly moved all Kove's kids away from the den and shoved them with their father (keeping Leo in his den as he'd developed a soft spot for the cream colored outsider he and Scarlett picked up) if he could, but Scarlett would never have allowed such a thing. Guess you couldn't have everything in your life, huh. Raz watched with narrowed turquoise eyes as Scarlett trotted into his den and called for the children. He suppressed the feeling of burning annoyance that bubbled fiercely in his chest and concealed all emotion from his countenance. Deciding that that wasn't enough, the Roman crouched down beside the stag and sank his teeth into the best part of the carcass, eagerly feasting on the best pieces of meat and the rich liver. A velvety silver ear was angled towards the albino's direction as she howled for the other members and sat down; he could feel her red gaze on him but Raziel did nothing to acknowledge her other than the flick of his ears. She was right to not assume she was allowed to eat with him, because when Raz was in this kind of selfish mood, he wanted to eat by himself until he was stuffed and full. Sterling ears swiveled once more as he caught the sound of a familiar voice. Only then did he lift his proud crown to take in everything around him. A rare gentle smile graced his weathered face as the creamy boy ran towards him and snuggled next to him. Raziel laughed, his muzzle red with blood, and planted an affectionate kiss on the boy's head. "Salve parum leo," (Hello, little lion) he murmured to the child quietly in the tongue of Rome, strangely enough the latin word for lion was leo which coincidentally was the adopted child's name. But just as the silver Roman turned to eat once more, Desna's screechy voice touched his ears. At first, he wanted to rebuke the child but when he heard her say that 'Kove and Raziel were daddies', he grinned and decided against it. He didn't even frown when Xan said that 'Dad is dad and not the smelly', though Raziel did feel the urge to walk towards the arrogant boy and cuff him sharply by the head. He shook his head and continued tearing into the prey, still making no signals that anyone else could eat. The voices met his ears, allowing the Roman to know who was present. Kove had arrived and Xan had greeted his father in the Inuit's tongue which the copper eyed male returned. Like father like son he supposed which was sad considering the fact that Raziel had been thinking of taking the boy out for some warrior training but now he was resigned to the idea that Alexander would be the exact replica of his father and would have none of his mother's better personality. The Alpha wasn't going to train Kove's replica, no, he wasn't going to be part of the remaking of Kove. Hell no. Okay, that might be a bit unreasonable and selfish of him, but then, there were no rules that said leaders had to always be selfless right? As far as Raziel was concerned, he had been selfless for way too long and now it was time to do things for himself instead for others. Finally finished filling his stomach, Raziel nodded to Scarlett. She would eat next as she was his second in command, then afterwards the subordinates would eat. His teal gaze fell upon Azaria and he canted his head, lost in thought as he cleaned his fur free of blood. "Azaria," Raziel called in his lightly accented, lilting voice, "Koma hér, líka," (Come here, please) he said accidentally in ancient Norse. Damn it. All the Inuit language was making him speak in one of the languages he knew that was from the north. "Sorry," Raz said apologetically, a smile on his features and inclined his head, telling her to come here silently. RE: A Feast for All! - Azaria - August 05, 2015 Azaria picked up on the sound of the Alpha's voice before the one she greeted could respond and a smile tugged at her lips as she heard the Roman speak in yet another enigmatic language. She was not as fluent in Norse as she was in Inuttut but the arctic creature had been exposed to a variety of languages up in the northern lands. The she-wolf did not feel as if she'd done anything to negatively draw the Alpha's attention,or at least she hoped not.The las thing she wanted was to stir up any kind of unrest in the pack. She dipped her torso and head towards the ground in a kind of bow as she approached the Alpha and once again kept her posture from assuming it's natural pride until Raziel signaled otherwise. "Yes sir?"
RE: A Feast for All! - Cry - August 05, 2015 It seemed as if everyone he had not met were already present, and Cry had no issue with that. If sitting, the only burden was to get through, but they had situated themselves rather perfectly. The meal was fresh, the air times with the light mist of red surrounding the carcass, and Cry watched with a keen ice gaze as the Alpha has his way with the meat, and the female that he had presumed was his soon to be mate did not partake. Another tiff between those two. The shadow prince snaked through the pack, until he was close enough to speak to the silver leader, but not close enough to interrupt the eating male. "Good afternoon, Raziel. " And with that, the dark lupine made his way to a seat underneath a tree, and away from the Sun. RE: A Feast for All! - Adlartok - August 05, 2015 Adlartok was late to the party as was usual. He was thinking of cutting tail and running lately. Tired of constantly ending up late to the meetings and the pack things. Truth was, he was just busy a lot of times, busy and off on adventures around the area. He showed up and stayed towards the back, he wasn't very hungry having already ate a rabbit as he filled caches. He settled to his haunches and just watched the going on's not saying anything to anyone, just watching. RE: A Feast for All! - Scarlett - August 06, 2015 New round starts Saturday the 8th! :D PP'ing @Sesi hope you don't mind.
Scarlett watched as the bold Desna greeted Azaria. If she could flush she would have been bright red at Desna's confident speech how Kove and Raziel were her Daddies. Oh god. She didn't want an all out fight at this feast. Xan corrected her though, which made Scarlett frown a bit. Then Kove came in the mix and spoke to Desna that she was too close. No. She wasn't. Scarlett wanted them to learn the pack and also be corrected by the wolf itself. Kove hadn't been there when they accepted Azaria and Scarlett trusted her to be good around her babies. She wasn't going to be that over protective mother that screamed out every time one of her babies set a step in the wrong direction. Okay, so head count. Leo was with Raziel, Desna by Azaria and Xan and Nanook by their father. Nanook used to be such a screamer and now she was so quiet. She watched their interaction when she realized Sesi wasn't there! Scarlett got up and retrieved her last young. She could have expected this, the girl was never really keen on new things. She was still cute though. She placed Sesi down by her paws and watched the pack gathering. Raziel seemed to be in a mood and she wasn't sure why that was. Then he stepped away from the carcass and Scarlett jumped forward over Sesi. She was really hungry, and she would need to eat extra for her young. She was met with a bit of disappointment when Raziel ate all the god stuff. She didn't comment on it since she basically couldn't. He was the alpha and had his rights. Though, Scarlett was having babies and she had looked forward to those rich organs. She did settle into the carcass a moment later. Eagerly eating from the fresh meat. It was still good. And their would be more than enough. She looked up when Cry arrived and soon afterwards Adlartok. She hadn't seen him in a long time. She was glad he was here to feast with them. Scarlett ate until her stomach was bursting. She couldn't eat one more bite. She waggled a bit away from the carcass and flopped down. Now the subordinates could fight their way to the carcass. She laid down for a moment feeling really tired with a full stomach but now it was feeding time for the babies. "Who wants food?," she asked to her babies. She had laid down close to Sesi and nudged the girl. RE: A Feast for All! - RIP Valette - August 06, 2015 Desna ignored her brother, the know-it-all. She didn't bother spending time with him since he always thought he was better than anyone else. He also got especial attention from their dad, always. And they had a secret language she couldn't understand. She then realized that Razeel also did Daddy things. So she saw him as a daddy too. Then she had two daddies and Xan had just one. Well shame on him. Desna was more a mother's daughter. She was very happy with her mommy, always. And with her she was sure that she was her mommy. Desna bared her teeth to Xan and her white papa. She let herself fall on her butt before Aza. "Aza. Hellow," she greeted. Then her mommy moved so Desna instantly jumped up and rushed after her. She watched from under her mommy. She was eating red things. Like... Her red food!! Desna jumped up and sniffed the meat. She cried to bite into it but her teeth weren't sharp enough to rip a piece out of it. She just sucked on it a bit, having the meat juices in her mouth. THIS WAS EVEN BETTER, OH MY. Desna almost wanted to jump up in the carcass and be surrounded by all the food. That would be like heaven for the plump pup. She moved out of the way for her mother though, falling back. She realized that there were two new wolfs!!!! She ran out of greet them. The plump dark pup made a sliding stop before the grey one and barked, which sounded more like a squeak. She remembered his scent but she had never seen him before. "I'm Desna. Whoes you!?," she asked with suspicious cute eyes. She then also saw a dark wolf. His coat was kinda like hers! Was he her daddy too? So many daddies. RE: A Feast for All! - Raziel - August 06, 2015 Azaria approached, her posture low and submissive and addressed him as 'sir' which made the usually aloof and stoic Roman's features widen in a grin and he laughed. "I haven't been addressed as 'sir' for a long time," he told her once the laughter subsided, his bright turquoise eyes twinkling with some kind of mysterious amusement. "Romans are more...formal than the wolves of this Teekon Wilds. It isn't really necessary since most wolves here just address me as Raz or Raziel. But..." Raziel smirked. "I would be lying if I said I didn't miss it." He glanced up at the Northerner, realised she was still standing and patted the spot next to him with a silver paw while keeping eye contact with her. Raziel inclined his head, indicating that she should sit down next to him. "Bit arrogant of me to like being called 'sir' huh?" Raz smiled, albeit a bit sadly as a wave of nostalgia washed through him. Then he shook his head as if to clear the interrupting thoughts from his head. "Anyways..." Raziel wrapped his tail around his paws, dipped his proud sterling crown to lick at the ruffled fur on his chest before continuing. "I called you over because of my...somewhat annoying curiosity. I was wondering..since you come from the North...what is your native tongue?" RE: A Feast for All! - Azaria - August 06, 2015 Azaria looked to the newcomers that had joined the group calmly and offered a nod of greeting to them.Desna seemed to be the friendliest pup out of the bunch and this seemed to be the first time she too was to get well acquainted with the pack. The pale pelt regarded the Alpha with pleasant amusement at his response, finding that even the stoic leader shared a fondness for his homeland. She understood how it felt to miss memories of home and the arctic wolf was all to happy to grant him some remembrance of that life.It was her nature to treat others with respect unless they deserved treatment of another kind.It was simple etiquette that she showed to all and Aza found that oftentimes the proper mannerism could be useful in avoiding a number of difficult situations. The white pelted female came to seat herself properly beside him where his ashy paw indicated. "I believe that it is not arrogant to enjoy being addressed formally, especially if it is something you have connected with your Roman heritage."she spoke politely and listened carefully as he voiced his question. "My native tongue is Inuttut, the language of the Inuit. My parents spoke it fluently though I was introduced to other dialects as we gained new pack members and I learned even more along my journey through the northern lands."she answered as she fondly recalled the way her mother would speak to her when she was a pup,in the soothing tongue of the icy northern lands. RE: A Feast for All! - RIP Leo - August 06, 2015 Many... new wolves had joined the party. Many more wolves he had ever seen in one place. Well, in the storm there was more, but he couldn't see any of them to good. Now it was very bright, and he could see everyone very clearly. He was scared. Too many big wolves in one place. He curled his body around Raziel's leg, watching him eat the weird red stuff. It smelled so good. Like nothing he ever tasted. Too bad his other family couldn't join in. Espescially since the BFW was suffering from hunger (of course he didn't know that. He watched with great intrest as Scarlett ate the red meat too. He then realized what it was. It was the meat his pther papa gave Lusa. Only much, much bigger. He wagged his tail in excitment and padded up to the large thing. He made sure his tail was touching Raziel. He didn't want to loose sight of him. Someone needed to watch over things here (though it was Alexander's job)! He licked the red meat as Desna sucked on it. Like her, he couldn't get into it. He made a tiny annoyed grunt. "Meeeyerr!" How come Raziel and Scarlett could chew through, but not him or Desna? They were big too! He looked up to the grey colored wolf with confused and sad baby blue eyes. He didn't want to be small anymore! It wasn't fun at all! RE: A Feast for All! - Nanook - August 07, 2015 Even after papa removed his touch, Nanook held onto the tingling rush of where he'd nudged her side. Warmth spread through her body, and a smile stole over her face. Nanook. Her name sounded so much stronger coming from papa's lips, so much stronger than her own private whispers that so often left her frustrated and angry. Nanook. A giddy laugh rose in her throat, hushed, and her ecstasy showed full in the frantic whip of her stubby tail. The little girl had no idea how she was today, what word in her small vocabulary could describe the burn deep within, the tingle through her skin, the rush of love and awe she held for her strong papa. Her body jittered and she hopped from paw to paw before she rushed forward and bumped papa's foreleg with her head. The rest of the world was lost on her, and she buried her face against her papa's leg, tail still lashing in cadence with every emotion bursting in her chest. Papa was here, papa had seen her, and in this moment, his attention was on her and not only on Xan, and she wouldn't ever let that go. RE: A Feast for All! - Adlartok - August 18, 2015 Ad bent his nose to look into the eyes of Desna, he blew at her gently and then lifted his head back up. He gave her a crooked endearing smile, making his eyes flash. Hello little one. Then he settled down to his haunches, and then to his stomach and just watched, he would wait until everyone ate. He would eat last, even after the babies. He not only wasn't hungry, but he also felt wrong taking something when he had long been absent from the pack and it's members. He had been here yes, but had not spoken to anyone in sometime. RE: A Feast for All! - Kove - August 18, 2015 The usage of an Inuit language had taken him a bit off guard, though he did not allow for the expression to show through on his features. Almost instantly, he deemed the woman to be interesting, and looked forward to having her in the pack. It'd be wonderful to have another around that he could speak with, and he hoped that she mght assist him in the teaching of his children once he knew her better. He recognized the words she used, and was pleased to hear the latter. It was then that he was certain they would get along just fine, and he was put more at ease with her being around his children. She was a woman of the North, carrying the pride of the Inuit blood in every step she took. For that, he could respect her, just as she appeared to respect those around her. The man was about to respond to her, too, but was cut off right as he was about to get out the first word. It was the Roman's voice that had disturbed him, and he turned his head to view the silver male as the pale coated wolf started towards him. Faintly, his gaze narrowed, though it lasted only a second before he tore it away to focus on his children. He'd speak to Azaria later, when they would not be interrupted by seemingly trivial matters. For the time being, Kove found his attention, too, being drawn elsewhere. He looked down as he felt Nanook against his leg. Smiling at her, he then lowered himself just enough to move his other leg and give a sort of wolf-ish hug. He waited a moment before pulling away, then gave the girl another gentle nudge. It was not one of greeting, though, but one to try and scoot her towards her mother. "You should go eat," he said, turning his head a bit to nudge Alexander as well. "Both of you." Of course, the young albino didn't seem to want to budge, so for the time being the elder let him go. "I'll still be here if you want to go eat," he added, then, moving some so he could lay down, wishing to further prove what he was saying. The Inuit had no plans of going anywhere, and he didn't want any of his children to miss out on food due to thinking such a thing. RE: A Feast for All! - Xan - August 18, 2015 There was so much going on around him. There were faces he'd either never seen before, or only saw once. Any other child might have been interested by it all, but he could not bring himself to be. He was far from being shy, that was a given, but he just couldn't bring himself to actually want to try and converse with any of the others. They were strangers, and they were boring. When his father seemed to take interest in the new woman, though, he grew curious as well. He also caught the words she said, and though he did not know their meaning yet, he recognized them as belonging to the language his father was teaching him. The language of his dad's homeland. Did that mean this woman was from a far away place, too? Did she also have stories to share? Stories of ice and snow, as well as blubber-y creatures that he was told tasted good? He wanted to know, but didn't know how to go about asking. By the time he'd figured out how to, it was too late. The woman had been called away by the smelly wolf, which annoyed the boy greatly. He was always ruining the little albino's fun. Without the other pale wolf to keep him distracted, Xan's attention was drawn back to his father. He turned just in time to see his sister getting closer to him, and a frown crossed through his features. The frown only deepened when his father hugged the girl. What was that all about? Then, it hit him. His dad must also be Nanook's dad. Then it got him thinking—maybe Desna was the only one who had a different dad. She didn't look anything like Kove, after all. Come to think of it, she didn't look like their mother, either. Maybe she was a mommy and daddy thief, a girl even worse than Leo. That irritated him to no end. She wasn't his sister, she was probably Leo's sister. Which meant he needed to now keep two other kids away from his parents, instead of just one. Huffing, he shot a glare in the direction of both the mommy-thieves, then looked at his dad as he felt himself being nudged. Despite the other children being so close to his mom, he was reluctant to go over. Sesi was there, so surely she would have caught on already and would protect their mom. Yeah, he was sure of that. Then he would protect his dad, and also maybe try to get Nanook away. They shared parents, yes, but that didn't mean he was about to let his sister steal the attention away when he wanted it. RE: A Feast for All! - Scarlett - August 18, 2015 I see the rounds are all messed up, haha. Oh well. That is my fault, excuse me. :3 No posting order needed!
Scarlett smiled at Adlartok and then once all her babies were around her, she started to make five piles of chewed meat for her young. Scarlett did that with all the love in the world. For others it might be a gross thing to to, but it was just nature for her. She made sure ever one of them would eat everything, and made very sure that Desna wouldn't eat all the food of the others. She usually kept the plump pup away from the others a bit and distract her from stealing too much food. Scarlett was starting to realize that her dark daughter might have an obsession with food. She watched the pack interaction, now the others were allowed to eat too from he carcass. She wanted to know how good everyone's bond was with one another. Then her eye moved back to her babies to watch them closely and if they were eating well. That was the most important thing. Her babies should always have enough food and everyone should have their stomach filled and feel happy. RE: A Feast for All! - RIP Valette - August 18, 2015 Desna was quickly distracted when her mother called them for food. She was rushing towards her and licking her jaw. Her stomach grumbled a bit in anticipation for more food. The plump girl attacked the first pile and wolfed down the chewed meat like she hadn't gotten food in a week. Her small tail excitedly wagging. After the pile was gone she instantly wanted more and moved to her mother to beg for some. But her mommy wasn't giving her anything! She let out a long whine and then rushed to steal some of Sesi's food. Her mother stopped her. A soft pout came on her face. Then she saw her white daddy. The plump almost made the ground tremble with her weight relocation (just kidding). She stood up against his leg with her tail eagerly wagging, trying to look extra cute. "Dadddyyyyy," she whined and yipped. She tried to lick his muzzle too. She wanted more meats! Meats was nice! She lost her balance and fell back on her butt, a burp soon followed. Though, the little female still looked up with eager eyes. Maybe her father would give her some more food! She wanted to be a strong wolf! |
