Action/Reaction - Nemesis - September 23, 2015 @Catori Nemesis stopped, cold eyes peering through the bramble of the unclaimed land. Most of her cache had already been diminished to an old scrap, one of the first put there. At most, she was convinced another had found her hunt storage or simple a scavenger looting through her kills. Nevertheless, she was furious to find next to nothing that morning, and immediately set out to restock her supply, before the season turned cold and the animals hid away. The forest seemed to already be repairing itself, the fallen logs making homes for wolves and mice alike. The storm seemed to have conjured up multiple stable dens and hiding places, perfect for those who lived alongside the predators. But, many misery had come from it. At least Lusa had relocated one of her children, but seemed to be missing her mate and other child. As she heard, a few members of her own pack had gone missing in the action, none that she had known. So for her, she had nothing to lose and nothing lost already. An ache panged in her chest in reminder of her former friend, Misty. The girl had gone and ditched them, along with packmate Ayana who was now branded a traitor. But the winter was coming, and the drama filled days would retire for the bitter season, to her delight. The cold had a way of turning people to themselves, away from the chilling world outside. Much like her personality, infact. The cold darkness had already inhabited her bones, and it showed on the outside. Her very presence, infact, made some want to turn the other way and lock their doors, wanting to be isolated away from her being. It was only natural that with a temper and demeanor like her's, none would take too kindly to her, but she didn't mind. Her reputation was building, bit by bit, outside and inside her pack. She was spreading the infinite darkness, restoring the land to it's former glory. Blackfeather was just the start of her reign, she had in mind to one day hold a pack of her own, and take the land for all it's worth. In her words, there would be a day when the sun would not shine and the birds would not sing their obnoxious songs. No, she would silence them all. Her pace had quickened, her thoughts matching her stride. Thundering and domineering footsteps were her tone but her feet were light on the ground, barely making a sound as she strode through the forest ground, in search of a doe to collect. Her eyes wandered to the path ahead, carefully not to stumble on the overturned roots. Her ears would flicker ever so often at the sounds of the calm yet busy forest. It was only a minute later that her nose twitched, followed by her ears fully extended. Up ahead was a single doe, not nearly as old as she expected. It was in it's prime, it's slender frame and lean legs a key factor in it's survival. But she was faster. Slowly, she crept around the bushes, hidden by it's cover. The animal was unaware of her presence, peacefully grazing the new grass. She would have striked then and there if her nose had not caught the scent of another wolf nearby. A different wolf. A red flag went off in her mind, but she quickly recovered. She would not bee fooled by her conscious this time. The other wolf was not her business. Instead, her eyes returned to the deer as she a malevolent smile formed on her face. Only the thought of bloodlust weighed on her mind. RE: Action/Reaction - Catori - September 27, 2015 Sorry for the wait! I've been trying to get caught up lmao
This doe had had a silvery wolf for a shadow for hours now, the female Indian not quite hungry enough to bring her down yet. She knew her stomach would cry for attention soon though and so, had not relented in her tracking the creature. Only now, as the sun began to set, did she feel the beginnings of hunger and began to close the distance between herself and the doe, following it into a forest. Her slender and slight form eased through the trees with little issue, teal eyes staying glued to the glimpse of the cervidae's hide every so often as it appeared ahead of her. While she was not completely oblivious to the sudden, fresh scent of another wolf, Catori made no move to stop what she was doing, intent on bringing down her kill. The doe would retire to it's thicket soon and she wanted to bring it down before it escaped into the thorny bramble of its safe haven. Sure enough, the silver-draped female sprang forward from her hiding spot close to the doe's front so that she could catch it's neck in her teeth before it raised up to run. Teeth met flesh, blood dripped hot over her maw as she wrestled the creature into it's death, jaws staying tight as ever around it's throat. As if in slow motion, the deer collapsed and Catori wasted no time in coming around to it's belly to start feeding. RE: Action/Reaction - Nemesis - October 03, 2015 No biggie! I've been pretty busy myself lol
She felt her lips silently pull away from her ivory teeth as a silver wolf darted out from behind her line of vision to take down the doe she had set her eyes on. Her eyes narrowed at the sight, taking in the remaining facts. This loner, had stolen her kill. Her kill. There would be no going back for this unfortunate wolf, whoever she was. It was a simple rule, one no stranger to the common courtesy of the wolf population. You just didn't take another's kill, especially when the other had a bone to pick with loners and strangers alike. Their borders were painted in blood, it really wasn't that hard to stay away! Yet these rogues, these loner creatures still absentmindedly seemed to always wander over the line, take what they want and assume they wouldn't be caught. It was pathetic, but it made her blood boil. And yet, they were not at Blackfeather, to her avail. But the fact would not stop her, no matter the heightened risk. Almost instantly, she stepped out from the bramble, making her presence quite clear as if this thing had not known it before. It didn't cross her mind that maybe this wolf really didn't know that she had been there, about to take her prize. She had no mercy for anything, and definitely not this stranger. She was fully aware of the maleficent gleam that shone in her eyes, one that she had been trying to supress the last couple of weeks. "Who are you and what do you think you're doing?" She seethed, snarling out a wicked confrontation. RE: Action/Reaction - Catori - October 07, 2015 The prospect of food dulled her focus for the moment so she did not hear the heavy breathing of an angered wolf, though she did notice when the dark creature stepped forward from the shadows. Piercing eyes yanked up from the still warm doe to settle on the other, surprise fleeing her emotional palate. While she had not known about the other's female's presence, she was not going to back down just because this one popped up like a figure in a book. Instinctively, she stepped over her kill, clear eyes meeting those of ill intent. "I'm going to eat the deer I just tracked for several hours." Her statement was firm and confident. "And yourself?" While she was a gentle soul, she was also not easily intimidated; her body remained tense, stomach unsatisfied for the moment as they stood there like statues. There was no posturing — yet — but Catori would protect what was hers, what she had worked so diligently for. RE: Action/Reaction - Nemesis - October 11, 2015 Nemesis's snarl only grew louder as the girl mentioned something about tracking it for hours. If had taken the pale girl so long to get the deer, she surely must be stupid, or so her reaction to Nemesis's anger said so. Anyone with a functioning brain could see her patience teetering on the line of her sanity as the girl rambled on about stuff she couldn't give a damn about. She had stolen her kill, her food, and nothing could stop her fury as her voice lowered to a deadly silent tone. "You're either crazy or suicidal," She seethed, her intense cold eyes glaring in burning hate at the female who was undoubtedly in a situation what would leave her scarred if her words weren't cautious. "That is my deer, my food. Nobody takes what's mine without suffering the consequences," She snarled, a malevolent smile finding its way to her mouth. "I'll give you one chance to back away and save your skin before I do something that you won't like" She hissed, her voice stained with malicious amusement and dead seriousness. She was not to be taken lightly, no medication could fully hold back her anger once it started going. It was clear to see, she could take the female, for she was much stronger, in her opinion. A pack wolf was always stronger than a lone wolf, especially one who's job was to kill. RE: Action/Reaction - Catori - October 15, 2015 The other's snarl meant very little to her, ears laying back against her skull in response. Why this girl felt the need to act so vile was beyond her and honestly, if she'd been nicer, Catori would have offered to share. But the girl was acting like a... a... Well, she was acting like a downright bitch. "Oh, would you hush?"p She snapped, irritation bubbling up inside of her. She had worked damn hard for this kill and this girl was trying to take it. She knew that there were those who thought only of themselves but until now, she had had the good fortune of meeting no one like that. A frown carved itself against her muzzle, staying firmly where she was. "You're already being quite rude and I don't like that." Her hackles shifted, bristling along her spine. Her stance was resolute. She needed this food to survive, and she wasn't above trying uncommon methods. "If you calm yourself, I don't mind sharing." Even if she'd done all the hard work by tiring the creature out on her own, Catori would try to meet in the middle with the girl. The question was, would she take the offer, or continue being a psycho? RE: Action/Reaction - Nemesis - October 25, 2015 Nemesis narrowed her piercing cold eyes at the female and scoffed. Who did she think she was? And to think this.. girl, had the nerve to tell her to hush? Well, that was a downright display of stupidity. "Oh, your level of stupidity amazes me", she chuckled. The dialogue coming out of the girl was just hysterical as the girl yet again opened her mouth to insult her. Baffled, Nemesis put on a mocking face of shock, as if the insult had actually affected her in the slightest. "Looky here princess, how about you shut that little mouth of yours and carry on you way. Don't test my patience" She snarled, red hot irritating growing inside of her. Oh all the things she would do if the girl got close enough, perhaps silence that yapper on the spot. Honestly, she would be doing the world a favour. Nobody needed those happy go lucky wolves who preach the "Be Happy!' motto. She wasn't exactly refusing the offer, but neither accepting. For one, she was curious to as how this meeting would go. If worst came to worst, she'd rip a part of the deer and go, even if the girl ended up chasing her. Running into Blackfeather territory would give her another reason to end the girl, no matter of her innocence. |
