shrouded by the platinum - Amekaze - November 12, 2015 backdated but idk to when exactly *SHRUG* also vague at some things but we can work with it however we gotta (and let me know if anything needs changed at all)
After retrieving her from the Plateau then bringing her back here to their new mountain, they had settled Rain into a small cave deep in the territory and let her rest. The healer's herbs from the Plateau had done well to keep her out of it, which was certainly for the best. She just hoped that the transit had not been too taxing on her injured body.Amekaze had passed by now and again when she could spare the time, but she was remarkably busy in laying this new claim -- and it was wearing her out. But, she knew Rain would have questions, and a great deal of them, and while she knew she could probably pawn the duty off to Nishu if she so desired, it was her place to explain what she could. After all, it was her decision to uproot them as she had done and why it was here Rain would awaken, not the familiar slopes of her former home. So, today, she approached the cave with intentions to do what she could to clear things up. What she did not know was how she would be received; it very well could be some sort of rage, but Amekaze was steeled for whatever it may be. She announced her presence with a soft bark and squinted into the darkness of the cave, knowing @Rain would be within. If she was awake, she hoped she'd be met with an answer. RE: shrouded by the platinum - Rain - November 12, 2015 Consciousness slowly came to Rain bringing with it a dull throbbing pain from her injured leg. A groan made it's way up her throat as she lifted her head, blinking her eyes to clear them of sleep. Her head turned to inspect her wounded leg, hoping that Blue had been able to set the bone correctly. Red puffy skin covered with a large healing scab revealed that she had been asleep for quite some time, but that the wound was mending. Slowly she pushed her leg out, but even an inch made her wince. Rain sighed, leaving her leg to rest against the cool ground. Glancing around the cave in search of Blue Willow, something began to nag at her. She did not recognize the cave. Had she been moved further away from the territory or had they brought her within Blacktail Deer Plateau to care for her? A brief memory of Dante leaving to find her pack flickered across her mind. How long had she been asleep? Was her pack coming for her? And where was she now? The only upside she could see was that the current resting place was more spacious and made it easier for her to breathe. Her ears perked at the sound of a soft bark at the entrance of the cave. Back lit by the sun stood one of the two wolves she was most loyal too, Amekaze. Uncontrollably her tail began to brush the floor, swirling particles of dust into the air. She could not remember how long it had been since she had last seen her loving Alpha. Rain immediately called out to her, "Amekaze! If I was able, I would come greet you properly." Her eyes softened as she took in the sight of Ame, feeling her heart filled with love and joy at seeing her Alpha again. But Nishu flashed into her thoughts and her heart skipped a beat. "Where is Nishu?" She looked for him behind Ame, but there was no other with the Alpha. Fear stilled her wagging tail, and squeezed her chest. If he was not there, then had he been killed? She did not want to believe it. Her eyes desperately searched Ame's face in hopes of receiving a positive answer and fear of hearing the latter. RE: shrouded by the platinum - Amekaze - November 12, 2015 Amekaze's ears were fanned back as she waited, and at the sound of her voice, they flicked forward eagerly. In that moment, she softened and her tail gave a wag to know that Rain was coherent enough. Relief soon followed and she exhaled a soft sigh. "No, no, it is fine.. I am glad you are awake," she said, inching inward a few more paces. "How is your leg?" she asked. Her steps were delicate and careful and unsurprisingly, Rain asked of Nishu. Ame did not know the whole of it, but it had been clear to her that he was tearing himself apart over all of this. She could not yet see the bottom of it, or know why exactly he took it upon himself to shoulder all the blame and then some. To her, it seemed a bit excessive.. and he had helped return her to where she could mend safely. He evidently sought perfection and anything short of that was unacceptable. She didn't stall for long. "He is around." To ease any worries before they could grow. Ame had smelled him here and there but not yet run directly into him. But she had been very preoccupied and wondered how much of it was him looking to stay busy so he did not have to face Rain until he was ready. "I feared he may run himself to exhaustion searching for you." To justify his need for rest, although Rain could surely figure this herself. "I know he has been resting some, and on patrol." |
