one for the money, two for the show - Antar - November 27, 2015 Emberwood; the soft murmurs of his quiet traveling companion on his way to the Teekon Wilds had called this woodland. It was not an easy territory to miss for while most of it's foliage had fallen way to litter the floor of the earth with the striking fiery orange, there remained a few stubborn aspens' unwilling to shed their brilliant plumage. Since the demure male, as brief a companion as he'd been to Antar, had spoken of this Emberwood the incubus had become a little bit obsessed with finding it. With letting his own eyes take in it's cruel beauty as it made the skyline appear as if it were aflame. He had a tendency to err towards possessiveness by nature and while he understood that the territory did not, truly, belong to him it was his while he remained a lone wolf. A life of anarchy was not one he had the luxury of affording for very long; this was a truth he knew and had accepted.
Sooner rather than later he would have to seek a pack to join with. He would not last long without one, though this was not an admittance of defeat. Silver tongued and venomous he might be but he was nothing if not a social creature by convention, and after he rested from his journey he knew he would need to make finding a new pack a priority. It was not his favorite thing to do for the process always felt arduous and redundant to him. It was true that he'd never actually had to join a pack before — having always lived in his birth pack — but he'd went on enough patrols with his crippled grandfather, Symphony and mother Kali to know that it was always the same questions. Who are you? Why this pack? What can you contribute? Antar supposed those were the important questions but they bored him; and the answers could easily be fabricated. Especially if desperation was playing along. Despite this consideration, the incubus had no intentions of fabricating any responses to questions he could be potentially asked; and first he needed to fill his belly and find a place to sleep for the night. Currently, those remained his top priorities. RE: one for the money, two for the show - Capriccio - December 01, 2015 Unknown family reunion?!
Her paws were what lead her – her heart had been left behind at Argent Creek. Her farewell had not been tear-ridden, nor did she hold any regrets.. but that had not made it any easier to depart from the only home she had ever known and her family. Yet it was the call of nature – at two years of age, Capri needed to follow after Siren’s footsteps and start her own life.. One where a mate and pups could come in to play at a future time. Yet after a month of travel, she was still uncertain where to start. Her nose would pick up upon pack scents when she got too close to their lands, and rather than wait for an interrogation, the silver-cloaked girl would flee in the opposite direction. Her pale eyes were keen on the surrounding landscapes, considering the possibility of attempting to gain a following and claim lands of their own. Yet the truth of it was that Capri was undecided, and nothing one way or another seemed to pull her. Her paws padded across the frozen ground – her eyes captivated by the forest. It was serene – a place she would put on her ‘just in case’ list should she dare stake a claim. Her tail wavered quietly in the winter air – and it was then her gaze locked upon the charcoal form of another wolf. Slowing her pace, the she-wolf debated whether to greet him or not. She did not recall scent borders – but she had also been distracted. |
