okay, it's hit me - Eyjólfur - January 28, 2016

AW - make sure to see the link in my signature for explanation.

wo war sie?  she stalled and picked at her nose with her tongue -- unsure. sie langsum, denkt.  der Himmel above was illuminant, die Sonne sinking in a fiery warpath, bright as feuer. bald abend kommen würde. she feared not the darkness, but die tiere. at nacht they crawled from the baume, feral and hungry. she had lived a great length of time on this erde, and had learned night was when one was most at peril.

sie rannte. at a brisk trot she covered the treeline, scouting for some suitable area in which to stop. ahead the shattered arm of a tree collapsed into the briar, a small fold of shelter offered under the fallen bough. "das ist perfekt." she declared, rounding into a klein curl to bed for the nacht.

where was she? -- she walked, thinking. -- the sky -- the sun -- fire -- soon evening would come -- the animals -- night -- trees -- earth -- she ran -- this is perfect -- small -- night

RE: okay, it's hit me - Sebastian - February 06, 2016

I can throw some german in this if you want? But seeing that Sebastian isn't german I decided to keep his post fully english! :3

Sebastian had just visited the Caldera and was on his way back to Black Feather, he had taken a bit of a detour, postponing his return to Black Feather Woods that housed the pack that called themselves the Dark Brotherhood. The young male did not feel like going back. He wanted to prove himself to his father and to the others. It was giving he male quite some pressure. He had the feeling everyone was watching him all the time, waiting for him to make a mistake and kick him out. Sebastian had struggles with feeling welcome and at home at the Caldera too. In the end it worked out for him so he knew he had to keep going. He was just... procrastinating a bit.

The large male trotted through Bramblepoint, the sun was already going down, when he smelled another wolf that had crossed his path. The grey moved on, following her path seeing that he needed to go that direction. It smelled fresh to him. He didn't want to be a creeper and follow her trail like he was tracking her down, but it might make him feel less guilty for taking longer to return to those dark woods he called his home now if he had someone to talk to for a bit. He might just call Nathaniel and be a lone wolf again. With this in mind he walked further, and closer to the female's shelter.

thanks for joining!  keeping the german light because i havent practiced a lot in the past few days

the alt crone would have fallen schlafen were it not for the noise that jolted her to her senses. she peered into the darkness, her gelb eyes searing through the bramble. there was a wulf not too far from her. she was not about to caught off guard -- she rose to her feet and made no attempt to conceal the crackle of briars as she untangled herself from the makeshift shelter.

"hallo -- wer bist du? Ich heiße Eyjolfur. Verstehst du mich?" her voice -- there was little pleasant about it. she spoke like a savage, though there was a simmer of intelligence that glimmered in her fierce yellow gaze.

old - asleep - yellow - wolf - "hello - who are you? i am eyjolfur. do you understand me?"

RE: okay, it's hit me - Sebastian - February 08, 2016

All good! :3

Sebastian walked on until a sound came from nearby. He stopped in his tracks and then turned to face the female that walked up to him. Sebastian's tail swayed gently to show that he was friendly and did not mean any harm. She looked about the same age as his father, maybe older. He couldn't really tell. He was a bit surprised when he heard a different language. He had never heard it. Sebastian blinked. "Hello," he spoke. That word he understood.

She was probably introducing herself? "I am not sure I understood," he admitted. "I'm Sebastian, nice to meet you!," he replied to her. His pale eyes looking over her. "You talk different," he spoke, not that he expected her understand. it was just more of his own statement.

RE: okay, it's hit me - Eyjólfur - February 08, 2016

she was aware her language would likely present as an implication -- in any event, it certainly seemed to greatly hinder the prospect of small talk. the idea of succumbing to speaking the english language seemed slightly abhorrent -- what would be more abhorrent would be the manner in which she butchered the simplest of english words. she watched him carefully for the more primal of their languages, noting his body language seemed to insinuate a fairly friendly intention. she remained neutral, though her hardened gaze did not soften.

"Ich habe Hunger.. " She supplied, looking to the ground as she trailed off, muttering to herself -- "Wie sagt du das....  Fleisch? Meeeet?" She looked to him hopefully, wondering if he would be intrepid enough to look past the horribly guttural utterance of her words.

i'm hungry... how do you say it... meat?

RE: okay, it's hit me - Sebastian - February 11, 2016

Sebastian looked at her neutral stance yet her gaze was still quite strict. The young male listened instantly when she spoke, seeing if he could take any words from it. Habe? Have? Was that it? Sebastian tipped his head. Hunger! Hungry! "You're hungry?," he asked. He didn't have anything with him and the black feather caches would be far away. "I could hunt with you?," he offered to her. He was a bit reminded of Quiet with the language barrier, at least with the mute wolfess she could understand him, this one was a complete different story.

He tipped his head back and let out a howl that indicted a hurt, which was universal or at least he thought. He then looked at her and tipped his head, as to ask her if she wanted to go hunting with him.

RE: okay, it's hit me - Eyjólfur - February 23, 2016

I suck! i never saw this! sorry!

while she didn't understand his words, his howl she did -- and an insatiable growl rose in her belly. a crooked smile worked its way across her equally lopsided countenance and with a low prowl the she-wolf stalked towards the bramble, aiming to follow sebastian's lead. for now, anything would do -- hare, duck, even a rat -- she was so hungry she probably would have eaten her own pups if any were readily available.

RE: okay, it's hit me - Sebastian - February 24, 2016

Sebastian was pleased to see that she was willing to follow him. The male had to catch something that was easy for them to catch while giving a lot of food. He didn't need to think long. The larger wolf looked at the other and then started trotting towards a stream. Spring was coming in closer and the ice had melted away from some streams, including this one. Cold water meant that fish were slower. Sebastian stepped in and looked at the water, standing really still. This might look weird for a wolf that wasn't used to fishing, yet Sebastian had grown up fishing. After a good moment his head dove down. When he lifted his head moment's later he had a fish, not a very big one but still edible. He bit it and then threw it towards the other female. "Fish!" He stayed standing so he might be able to catch more. He was quite lucky to get this fish quite quickly.

Not to worry! <3

feel free to fade or pp jolie - if you need this to count towards a trade or s/t let me know and i can pop one more reply in so it meets the 10 post - im wrapping up jolie's threads because i am afraid i can't juggle more than 2 characters, sorry

the wolf hunkered down and watched sebastian hungrily, her prowling gaze noting his physique as he crouched over the water. expertly the male wrangled a fish from the water and eyjolfur ran a bright pink tongue across the black shock of her muzzle. he tossed the offering towards the old crone and she took it greedily, gnawing it with a savage crack before it disappeared down her gullet. plaintively she looked at him, as if expecting more from the already too-kind male.

RE: okay, it's hit me - Sebastian - March 14, 2016

That is okay! It is not counting to a trade, maybe for hunter/care taker. But that is alright! I will fade it here <3

Sebastian watched the female eat the fish he offered to her. Another act of kindness. Sebastian hoped that his kindness might be returned one day. But for now he was not asking anything in return. He watched her basically wolf down the fish and then she looked so pleadingly for more. Sebastian went back into the stream and waited for another fish to swim by he could grab. It took awhile but in the end he ended up with another fish and handed it to her once more. His tail wagged a bit. He sat by her as the older lady ate. He himself was not that hungry, and seeing her so happy with the meal Sebastian was pleased too.

- fade end! -
